message 4951: by Arielle (new)

Arielle Coulter | 12 comments I joined the group and wrote my first story only a few hours ago so I am going to say no but I have a feeling that that will be me in a few weeks hahaha.

TPBM can actually hear a song that comes on the radio and knows immediately if it is on the Twilight sound track... Unashamedly of course :)

message 4952: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments The only song I know of that made it in the Twilight movies is "The Forgotten" by Green Day. I don't care too much for the movie, but the song is by Green Day, so obviously it's awesome.

TPBM uses Rainymood.com whenever he or she needs to relax.

message 4953: by Arielle (new)

Arielle Coulter | 12 comments No, I acually play a 12hr loop of beach sounds off youtube.I have, in fact, listend to the whole thing.

TPBM has fuzzy yellow socks that makes them smile

message 4954: by Guy (last edited Apr 02, 2015 10:36PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Off of Arielle's 5981.
Sadly no. Twilight Zone is a vey old series, and I only remember the theme song. ;-)

Off of Arielle's 5983.
I did once, but they became too holy to wear.

TPBM thinks that the British humour in the old Avengers series makes it superior to many contemporary spy-type series.

message 4955: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments I haven't seen the old Avengers series, so I wouldn't know. The only British humor I'm aware of is in the Danger Mouse cartoon from the 80's and from various Monty Python movies.

Before TPBM goes to bed, he or she lays out their outfit for the next day.

message 4956: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) No. I just grab whatever is lying around the next day, usually from the top of a drawer or within reach in a closet.

TPBM thinks Garrison needs to watch some Simon Pegg and Nick Frost movies/tv shows.

message 4957: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments The only thing I've seen from them is "Shaun of the Dead". Good stuff!

TPBM once got stared at by the public for eating a strange food.

message 4958: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes, often. It has been called gruel in the morning by my co-workers and sometimes sludge in the afternoon.

TPBM agrees with Marie that Garrison would be richly rewarded watching Mr. Bean and especially Fawlty Towers.

message 4959: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments Ah yes, Mr. Bean! I forgot about that one! I used to watch it all the time when I was just a little kid growing up in California. Then when I moved to Washington, I saw the movie based on the series. I had a pretty happy childhood because of those times. :)

TPBM has a themed alarm clock.

message 4960: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Well, given that one of the themes of our times is beeping alarms for everything from coffee makers, to backing up cars, to doors and computers, then yes. My alarm has a theme that also happens to be on trend.

TPBM has recently begun to use modern technology on a smart phone to better manage his/her appointments.

message 4961: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Not very recently. I've been using shared online calendars to keep track of appointments and coordinate plans with friends and family for almost two years now.

TPBM is getting ready to go on a trip and is trying to figure out what books to bring.

message 4962: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments On April 12th, I'm going back to Victoria, Canada for five days. Usually, the books I bring on vacations are whatever I'm reading at the time and a few graphic novels. I'm currently reading "The Blood Guard" by Carter Roy and I might bring the "Preacher" series along with "Stuck Rubber Baby" when the time comes.

TPBM has at least one character in his or her stories named Xavier. And yes, I do have a weird obsession with people's names.

message 4963: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Kind of. I think I used a variation of Xavier in one of my old stories, but I don't remember what it was anymore.

TPBM finds it irritating when people emphasize their own "niceness" to imply that they're above other people.

message 4964: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments If that's the case, then the person isn't really being nice in the first place. Pushy tactics are no different from each other aside from how pleasantly they might be dressed.

TPBM sees nothing wrong with buying songs individually on iTunes as opposed to buying the whole album at a record store.

message 4965: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do not, although I tend to be an album person. But then, I'm not really into pop music, which is more song driven than album driven.

[Victoria? A hop skip and short ferry ride from my stomping grounds.]

TPBM has not used the name Tess in anything they have written.

message 4966: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Not at all. I mean, even if you're only buying them individually, at least you're paying for them instead of finding pirated files somewhere on the internet.

TPBM speaks another language.

message 4967: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I must, because the person I am currently living with finds much of what I say is unintelligible.

TPBM finds it amusing when posting timing gets our posts out of alignment.

message 4968: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments I like to refer to double-posting as "derailing the Velveeta train". I don't know why, but it sounds funnier in my head. And no, I haven't any characters named Tess.

TPBM wants to wear a Slipknot mask for Halloween this year.

message 4969: by Connie (new)

Connie D. | 656 comments No. I don't even know what that means. My favorite part of Halloween has become roasting and eating pumpkin seeds.

TPBM tends to enjoy European board games over American as there is more strategy and thinking and less chance.

message 4970: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments I don't think I've ever played a European board game before. My favorite American ones have always been Hero Quest and Monopoly.

TPBM has a Bachelor of Arts degree.

message 4971: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do not. I have what I call a basket weaving degree. A BGS with extended minors in math, English and Economics.

TPBM does not know what BGS means. ;-)

message 4972: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments I just looked it up on Acronymfinder.com. It's a Bachelor of General Studies.

TPBM knows what it means when someone talks about “Candles burning at both ends.”

message 4973: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I don't think I've ever heard that phrase before.

TPBM is always amazed when they're cleaning something and see that it was actually a different color than what they had originally thought.

message 4974: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Lol! No because I don't remember having experienced that. [I am curious what kind of cleaning you do, or what it is you are cleaning.] Although I had that happen once when I moved into a new place and discovered that the grey porcelain sink was actually white!

TPBM, knowing now that one can get a degree by taking a little bit of every subject, is keen to get their very own BGS.

message 4975: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments I have no desire to go back to college for any kind of degree. It was a lonely time for me that I'm not eager to repeat.

TPBM loves the cheddar biscuits at Red Lobster.

message 4976: by Connie (new)

Connie D. | 656 comments Yes, but I haven't had them in years.

TPBM loves Moscato and is maybe gonna have a glass right now!

message 4977: by Guy (last edited Apr 11, 2015 09:28PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments If 'Moscato' is a creative anagram for 'Japanese Sencha' then yes!

TPBM has just finished reading about some of the archetypal imagery around the easter bunny and easter eggs.

message 4978: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments If it has anything to do with brown jelly beans and why children should never eat them, then I've known that all along. Hehe!

TPBM has gotten better at writing dialogue for short stories and novels.

message 4979: by Nadia (new)

Nadia | 690 comments I would like to think so, but there is still room for growth

TPBM wants to eat a cookie

message 4980: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, I just recently finished eating a homemade dark chocolate fudge brownie with pistachios. Hmmmmmm. So good. With fresh strawberries. And now some green tea for desert.

TPBM likes to give away their home baked goods even more than eating them.

message 4981: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments Seeing as how I have a reputation around the house as a "cookie monster" and a "hamburglar", most of those baked goods are going to be in my tummy before too long. Hehe!

TPBM wouldn’t mind teaching English as a second language in a foreign country.

message 4982: by Connie (new)

Connie D. | 656 comments Yes. That would be a wonderful experience.

TPBM loves the roaring sound the wind makes when there are no leaves on the trees to make it whisper.

message 4983: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments As long as said wind doesn't make the power go out, yes, that would be cool with me.

TPBM wants to start a short story someday with the words, “I forgot to bring you roses.”

message 4984: by Connie (new)

Connie D. | 656 comments Garrison wrote: "As long as said wind doesn't make the power go out, yes, that would be cool with me.

It did, for about four hours. That is what got me to go out for a walk and enjoy it!

message 4985: by Guy (last edited Apr 11, 2015 10:38PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I hadn't thought about that as a story opening, but it isn't inspiring me.

TPBM wonders, sometimes, if roses would have such popularity as a metaphor for love if Shakespeare hadn't written "a rose by any other name..." in Romeo and Juliette.

message 4986: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments Roses would have been discovered as a metaphor eventually, due to their fresh smell and vibrant colors.

And Connie, I'd go out for a walk right now, but I have no desire to be cold and wet. It's pouring hard here in Washington state.

TPBM had the sudden urge to listen to Nirvana after reading either “Prozac Nation” by Elizabeth Wurtzel, “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” by Stephen Chbosky, or “Love Letters to the Dead” by Ava Dellaira.

message 4987: by Arielle (new)

Arielle Coulter | 12 comments I have only read Perks of Being a Wallflower but I don't think I have ever had the urge to listen the Nirvana (who/what is that again?)

TPBM considers hard cider a beer (because it is...)

message 4988: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do not, because beer derives from grains, not fruit. Cider is closer to being a wine, as grapes are, like, apples, fruits. Oddly enough, in the Oxford dictionary, definition 1.1 would allow for beer to be a wine, as beer is "made from the fermented juice of specified other fruits or plants."

On the other hand, beer has a very specific definition that does not allow for the inclusion of fruits.

TPBM finds it annoying when TBAT elaborates unnecessarily.

message 4989: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments Elaborate all you want, Guy. We're all ears! Actually, we're all eyes since this is an internet forum, but the sentiment is the same.

For an April Fools Day prank, TPBM put Viagra in someone’s coffee.

message 4990: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) Noooooo. That is so wrong.

TPBM watched Dracula Untold and dreamed about vampires all night.

message 4991: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments No, I didn't do either. Instead I dreamed about writing songs for Linkin Park, getting yelled at by Jacoby Shaddix, getting yelled at by an angry short-haired woman, and then being comforted by Larry Zbyszko.

TPBM likes Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs more than the original Cups.

message 4992: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do not know, as I've not heard of, let alone tasted, Reese's PB Eggs.

TPBM fell asleep in front of the computer listening to music.

message 4993: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10193 comments No, I've never done that before. In fact, I'm only a few minutes away from going to bed myself, emphasis on bed. Goodnight, everybody!

TPBM thinks the word “Purifier” would make a good name for a monster in a horror story.

message 4994: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes, it would. Of course, the hero of the story would have to be named 'Pip The Purified'.

TPBM is having a pleasant dream about swimming with hares accompanied by a musical score that includes David Byrne's cover of Take me To the River and A Bang in the Void by Apparat.

message 4995: by Nadia (new)

Nadia | 690 comments I can't say that I am, but extra points for creativity! :)

TPBM wants to eat chocolate, but won't because they are trying to be good.

message 4996: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments But good chocolate is not only good but has some goodness to it so be good for goodness sake and buy some high quality dark chocolate and join the good dark side. [Guy walks upstairs to his diminishing stash of Lindt Madagascar and chili pepper chocolate bars. Fade to black as scene becomes inappropriate for the under 13 crowd. ]

Now, where was I? Oh! TPBM is heading to the washroom to remove evidence of good bad behaviour.

message 4997: by Nadia (new)

Nadia | 690 comments lol. I'm afraid even good chocolate is out of the question for me since I'm lactose intolerant. So no evidence to wash away

TPBM hates when there is that awkward moment when you realize that you are the only person still talking in a crowded room.

message 4998: by Connie (new)

Connie D. | 656 comments Only if I am still talking loud enough to be heard above the crowd.

TPBM drank something called Moscow Mules at a party yesterday and thinks the must call it that because the day after you feel like you got kicked in the head and stomach by a mule!

message 4999: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Nope, I don't recall ever having a drink called that.

TPBM has tried using sleep hypnotism to help them sleep deeper at night.

message 5000: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) No, my problem is falling asleep in the first place. Once I'm out I'm OUT.

TPBM never watches a movie that's based on a book until after they've read the book.
