On Wednesday one of my customers gave me a bag full of books. I kept 16 and sold the rest to Half Price Books and then bought Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. All the books I kept were 80's and early 90's romance that I put on my maybe read list.

Sigh....gone are the days when I had hubby's credit card and could go fill my arms with first edition hardcovers hot off the press from my local bookshops. My saddest personal impact of this horrible economic crisis!! I know it's shallow and frivolous, but it's still painful!! :[
OMG, "Delicate Edible Birds," by Lauren Groff is fantastic. Short stories...I'm not generally a fan of those, but this is the best collection I've read in years.
I bought a Kobo eReader this weekend and I got 10 cheapy books for it over the past few days. :D!!
!! These ran from Free to $6.69 ea. Plus it came with 100 classics already loaded to it..smiles. So looks like I am going to be busy for awhile..LOL
Good for you, Debi. Karin Slaughter is one of my favorite of her type of police/mystery genre. Once you read one of hers, you'll probably be hooked!
Hi Deb,I have read the first one in this series, I really enjoyed it but just had a hard time with the gory parts I felt she repeated them way to much through the book...LOL!! I picked up the last one because I got it for $2.00 couldn't go wrong with that price. I will be pick the rest up at the library or if the go on sale I might buy them for my KOBO..smiles. And I own the first one in her new series the Will Trent one but haven't read it yet..smiles.
