"No problem. Well, I think I remember Grace always talking about France. She always said that we should visit the Eiffel Tower! Remember Dan?" Amy said exitedly.

Ok, Dan. You have a point now, let's hit the books!" Amy said happily.

"Well, now we understand each other." Amy said while heading over to the librarian. "Um-um-um ex-excuse me ma'am. I was looking f-f-for books on th-the Eiffel Tower." Amy stammered.

"What?" snapped the lady. Dan stepped in. "Ma'am, we're looking for books on the Eiffel Tower. Can you please help us?"

"Yeah, yeah. Over there." The lady pointed to a bookshelf marked 'France'. "Duh." Dan whispered to Amy.

"Thanks." Dan said to the lady. Then he said to Amy "Go choose your books, and start doing your research. Im going on the computer."

Dan got on the computer and the first thing he did was get on facebook. His friend asked him why isnt he at school, so he responded 'vacation. hows it going there?'
After, he was bored and went to google. to his surprise, he searched 'Eiffel Tower'.

He found many things about it. None he really cared about. Wait! "Amy! Nellie! Get over here!"

Nellie and Amy ran to Dan. "Check it. This guy that helped build the Eiffel Tower is named Jean-André Cahill! That's pretty dang important if you ask me!"

"See? Cahil." Dan sneered. "Turns out Im not as useless as ypou thought I was, huh?"

"We never thought you were useless Dan, although when I looked to check on you, you were on Facebook." Nellie told him.

"So!? You were on FACEBOOK when other teams are beating us let alone trying to kill us!?" Amy screamed and got an icy glare from the librarian.

"Shhh. Its a library." Dan said sweetly again.

"Dan! You are driving me insane!" Amy screamed at the top of her lungs. The librarian pointed at them, followed by the door. "Smooth." Dan whispered as Amy, Nellie, Saladin and him walked out the library doors.

"at least I did something, right? I usually dont! But now, that I actually did do something-- research-- something that I would never do-- you're getting angry for checking my Facebook! What do you think my friends are doing? What about the detectives? Its the only CLUE we have on whats happening in Boston!" Dan screamed back/

Dan looked at Amy only to see that she was crying. "Dan, you think I'm not wondering too? But the clue hunt is all we have left. No parents, relatives we actually like, nothing. We aren't normal and I can't go pretending we are. Yeah, okay, you did research. But where do we go now? What are we supposed to do? It's not like we could beat a rich and sneaky Lucian like the Kabras. Or a rich Janus like Jonah. A smart Ekat like Alistair or strong Tomas like the Holts. We're useless." Amy started crying all over again.

"Thats why we're madrigalss." Dan pointed out, but then, he put a comforting arm on her shoulders. "Oh, come on AMy, chear up!"

Nellie rubbed Amy's back. "Come on guys, let's go find somewhere we can sit, eat, and talk."

As they walked to a small cafe Amy noticed something on the ground.

"Ok then. Two hot chocolats, one cappuccino, a box of big donuts and a bag of chocolate covered croissants." Dan said to the lady. The lady looked at him and gave him his order. Dan paid for the food and went to AMy. "Whats that?" he asked her.
