Did you read the Men of the Otherworld? I heard there's a story about Clay and Elena in that too.

After trying another series on audio and hating the narrator, she's kind of a relief actually, so perhaps that biases me in her favor. But I'm amused by her nonetheless. My sister insists this series is hilarious, so I'm willing to give it a longer try than most.
Done with Ceremony in Death, and now have to wait for Vengeance in Death... Hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow:-)
Oh!! It arrived, along with Holiday in Death, Conspiracy in Death, Loyalty in Death (now I'll have enough to hold me till this weekend!!:-p), Belle: A Retelling of "Beauty and the Beast", Goddess of the Hunt, and Distant Waves.. ***happy sigh***
Carolyn F. wrote: "Did you read the Men of the Otherworld? I heard there's a story about Clay and Elena in that too."I loved this book too. It focuses primarily on the men. One story tells about Jeremy's birth. a later one gives us more info on his heritage. There's tons of information about Clay in this one also. We find out how he became a werewolf, how he met Jeremy and how Jeremy came to adopt him. Jeremy's ascension to pack leader is also covered.
Armstrong has offered free stories on her site for years. These volumes feature those works and the profits will go to charity.

Should I read the men one first? Thanks for the help Daffodil.
Though not absolutely neccesary, I would read Men of the Otherworld before Tales of the Otherworld. Just because Clays upbringing gives some insight into his relationship with Elena.
Done with Vengeance in Death (loved it... Oh, Roarke!), then readBelle: A Retelling of "Beauty and the Beast" just to vary a little before going back to fantasy man :-) Now either Holiday in Death, Goddess of the Hunt, or Perils of the Heart... Hard choices... But I have tomorrow off! It's a bank holiday here, so no work, yay!!
I just started Trapped by Ronda Gibb Hinrichsen for an author requested review. It's a brand new release that I don't know much about except that it's supposed to be a romantic suspense with a dash of PNR. We'll see how it goes.:-)
Just finished "Spider's Bite" and am now reading "The Vampire and the Virgin." I'm way into paranormal this month!
Yz, I love the "Slowly savoring Lover Mine" part :)I'm actually kinda book-blah at the moment. Guess it was bound to happen at some point.
I've got about a dozen books started, but none giving me that "don't stop now" feeling. :(
I've listened to about 2 hrs of Black Magic Sanction by Kim Harrison, thinking maybe the audio version would be better since the last few have been slow reads for me (tryin' hard not to drop this series).
I've been listening to Burned, which is so far interesting, but the reader kinda bugs me, so I might switch to the book.
I've just started Blood Magic, which has been on several long-term challenge TBR lists for a while and that's not bad so far, I guess.
Could be that I'm just coming down from a "FINALLY! It's here!" high after several (Lover Mine "great!" & Dead in the Family "ok"). Dunno.
HoHum ... I guess I just need to find something new? hot? exciting? to read to jump my reading engine. LOL!
Suza wrote: "Just finished "Spider's Bite" and am now reading "The Vampire and the Virgin." I'm way into paranormal this month!"How was "Spider's Bite", I've got that, but haven't read it yet. Should I move it up on my TBR list?
Finished Goddess of the Hunt last night, and LOVED it! Now, back to Roarke with Holiday in Death.. :-)
Right now I'm reading Ghostland
...I've enjoyed what little I've read of it but at the same time, I'm not hooked...let's see how the book progresses...
Just finally starting in the BHB....with The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss. Took me awhile to get around to it, but I'm finally getting started.
Melanie wrote: "Amy, you'll loooove Bones!!! Kat too:-) You're in for a treat:-)"Yeah, I love Bones and Cat. The story is really good so far.
Finished a couple yesterday and picked up
. I think I may have missed something as I haven't yet read
but there aren't any copies available from the library yet so I'm just gonna skip ahead.
Nikki wrote: "I just started Naked in Death by J.D. Robb."You're in for a treat! But beware! I started the series on Yz's rec last week, and I'm starting the 8th book now :-) You get hooked easily:-) Let us know what you think of Roarke!! :-)
As for me, I put Roarke on hold while I read Wild Orchid: A Retelling of "The Ballad of Mulan" by Cameron Dokey (shouldn't take too long:-p I just have a thing for fairytales!!) :-)
D.G. wrote: "Right now I'm reading Ghostland
...I've enjoyed what little I've read of it but at the same time, I'm not hooked...let's see how the book progresses..."The world building in Ghostland was intriguing enough to keep me interested. Certain things happened near the end that made me want to see where the author was going with the series so I read Spider Touched
almost immediately and I'll probably get the third book, Healer's Choice
, when it comes out in September. Personally, I've been more interested in the mythology the author is building than the characters themselves. It's different and I want to see where Strong takes the world itself, so I'm willing to give her a little leeway in the characterization department. I'll reevaluate after reading the third book and see how I feel then. Side note: I'm not sure who the cover artist for these books are, but they are simply gorgeous.

I'm not that far into the story, but what I've read I'm really enjoying. Eve just met Roarke, so as of right now I don't have an opinion of him. I can see why this series is so addicting :)
Halfway through Moonlight Road - it's not lighting any fires for me, and she has Mel acting like a hormonal lunatic! Then on to Out of the Shadows, the last book of Hooper's Shadows trilogy, which I have in 3 challenges.

The beginning of book 1 is a little slow for my tastes, but quickly picks up when Eve meets Roarke.. Then the books just keep getting better and better :-) lol... look at where I am after 10 days :-p
I'm done with Wild Orchid: A Retelling of "The Ballad of Mulan" and am starting Conspiracy in Death..
Melanie wrote: "Vanessa wrote: "Melanie and Yz, wait until you get to Vengeance in Death. That one's definitely one of her best! I just finished that one a while ago. I hadn't read in awhile and so I..."Hi Melanie,
It sometimes depends on the format. I buy mp3 format and I can usually get them at Amazon for about $19.00. Sometimes the CD's are a little more expensive; a certain book might be more or less as well. They do, occasionally put the more popular ones or latest ones on sale for a couple bucks less. Also, there is a lady on Ebay who sells them for $12.00 and offers bulk discounts. They are usually not brand new, however. I bought one from her and it was in excellent condition. It also did not have the outer packaging; it came in a paper cd holder, but she packed well and I was very pleased with the quality. The only unfortunate thing is that I live in the US and she lives in Canada, and so it took it awhile to get here. The last time I looked, she was offering custom made packages of 10 for $7.00 each.

Boy Nikki, wait till you get a load of Peabody! Unfortunately she doesn't get introduced to near the end of book 2, but she's definitely worth the wait.
I'm reading two other books right now, but I just finished Amaryllis by Jayne Castle, and now I've started Zinnia. I would definitely recommend it to people who enjoy her Arcane Society series. Real similar, but sent in the future instead of the present day or the past. Of course, these have been out for awhile and so probably a lot of people have already read them. I'm just a little behind with the whole Krentz/Quick/Castle thing.I'm really looking forward to Burning Lamp.

Vanessa wrote: "I'm reading two other books right now, but I just finished Amaryllis by Jayne Castle, and now I've started Zinnia. I would definitely recommend it to peo..."Thanks Vanessa. I've been looking at Amaryllis in the book store and trying to decide if I should give it a try.
I'm in the last third of Conspiracy in Death... I think it's becoming one of my faves!!! Love it! :-)
do you guys overseas have access to audible? the JD Robb books (if you are a member) cost me about $14 for Mp3 player and it can be downloaded to various devices...I pay $15 a month for access, which gives me 1 credit (1 book) and then discounts on many others
Melanie wrote: "I'm in the last third of Conspiracy in Death... I think it's becoming one of my faves!!! Love it! :-)"Hey Melanie,
Yes, Conspiracy in Death is one of my favs, too. I'm starting Holiday in Death because I'm listening to them in order. I don't know how many times I've already read it!
Sandra,
You're welcome!
Oh, I finished Conspiracy in Death and loved it so much! Now I only have Loyalty in Death left before the rest of my order with the next books arrive, so I'm going to have to savor it slowly :-) I've only ordered up to book 15, and I'm considering adding the next couple to my next BD order :-)
Dee, what's "audible"? a site? (I still prefer having my books in hand, but I'm curious :-))
Vanessa, thanks for the friend request, I've added you :-) looks like I'm going to be stealing books from your shelves :-) like I don't have enough!!!
