Hi,I've been a member of Goodreads for a while, but I just joined this group. I live in North Carolina near Charlotte. Cozies are my favorite mysteries, and I especially like a little humor and strong women characters. I also love characters who have horses and dogs. I'm a big fan of Dick Francis mysteries, though I like his older books better than the newer ones.

I am part of the group, The Next Best BookClub and another member mentioned this group in a post. I think it is definitely right up my alley as I love cozy mysteries and have a bad habit of collecting them for my personal library and never letting them go. :) I am excited to hear what everyone is reading, what they enjoy most, and getting to know the people in this group!

I just joined! I live in NC but grew up in Cleveland. I have a master's in English literature, but now do accounting and just read for fun, which is much better.I have just gotten in to Cozy Mysteries lately, because I picked up On What Grounds by Cleo Coyle by chance at the bookstore. I'm hooked!

Welcome Jennifer! Lol, I sound like I'm talking to myself! This brings up a pertinent question...does anyone know offhand how to adjust how your name shows up in posts? I'm happy to adjust mine to differentiate... :)

Jennifer: To change your name, go into either your profile or account and edit user name.
That's what's throwing me - my username in my profile is "jennevans" but my posts are still appearing with "jennifer".

My account settings seem to be the exact same as profile settings. But I just edited my "First Name" so I'll find out when I hit "post" if that worked. :)
Yep! That was it - edit your "First Name", not "user name".

LOL, I do see more double s's. We named her after a dear friend. It's a Spanish name (which you probably knew). Back when we named our daughter (34 years ago) the only other Marisa we knew of was John Wayne's daughter.
