Thanks :)

Yeah, I have a feeling it's going to take me awhile to get used to it. As long as the humidity doesn't short out my Kindle or mildew my books, I'll be good ;)

Learn to love your A/C. lol Seriously, running it keeps your house de-humidified, so no mildew on your books (or swollen door jambs, etc.)

As I'm currently on an Agatha Raisin reading stint, when I saw this group I couldn't resist joining and dropping in to say hi!
My name is Janis and I'm from the Adelaide Hills in Australia and read many genres. Right now though, getting a good dose of M.C. Beaton/ Marion Chesney as it's winter here, I've been laid up with a badly sprained foot and can't help but enjoy whiling away the hours with a cosy crime fiction, hot chocolate and blanket on the couch.
So hello! :-)

I read and write mysteries, and I have a real weakness for cozy ones. My favorite at the moment is David Handler's Berger and Mitry Mysteries.
Hello Miranda and Jill! Nice to have you in this wonderful group!
Hello everyone. Joined last night. My favorite Murder/Mystery has too be "The Diary of Camp Better Place Station" ~ Author Migdalia Torres which is now available on www.amazon.com/books & www.createspace.com
The Story of a Young Mexican Runaway named India Del Cielo whom happens to run into a Camping Site that is holding Teen Runaways against their well. The State Federal Court Hearings soon uses India's Diary too open an Investigation in the matter. So, bring your Backpack and Camping Tent and help me Solve who was the Murder and Why. ~Author Migdalia Torres

I'm Michelle, from Atlanta, GA. I love a good mystery book. Some of my favorite authors in the genre, are James Patterson, Stuart Woods, Mary Higgins Clark, & J.D. Robb. My favorite series outside of the Alex Cross series, are the Women's Murder Club by James Patterson.

Hi Judy! I'm on a fantasy kick right now, as well. I'm currently 2/3rds through the second 'Game of Thrones' book and just finished the Mallorean (David Eddings). What kind of fantasy do you like? And what kind of cozies? I'm mostly into the dog-or-cat-lover kind, but hoping to expand my horizons soon. Plenty of suggestions in this group!

My name is Elaine, I was looking for a group to chat about books, and this one caught my eye. Probably about a third of the books I read are cozy mysteries. I agree with Kate - who doesn't need a good comfort read? I am especially fond of some of the animal mysteries. And like Shirley, I'm retired and enjoying getting to laze away some of my days in reading. My other favorite category is fantasy. I am waiting for some great fantasy-mystery series to take hold, LOL.

Hi Janis, I also am a fan of MC Beaton's Agatha Raisin, and they were the beginning of my cozy book obsession years ago. I also enjoyed her Hamish McBeth books, and have read all of both-hamish and Agatha. They are my favorite, and Agatha is a riot,...always makes me laugh. There are just so many cozies to pick from I always have one I am interested in, lately I breezed through the Elaine Viets series - Dead End Jobs, they were terrific!

I love a good mystery and I love to talk about them with people who feel the same way. And Then There Were None By Agatha Christie has to be one of my favorite books of all time! She has inspired me in so many ways, even in the creation of my own murder mystery novel, Romeo Killed Juliet that's being released soon.
I'd love to hear what everyone's favorite mystery novels are and why :)

I enjoy all the AZ female sheriff (Joanna Brady)
series by female author whose name escapes me at the moment. Also liked her JP Beaumont (Seattle detective) mysterys. J A Jance = author. Good, strong characters a must & interesting story line for a good read.

I love Christie's work also; my favorite is Murder on the Orient Express.
Must say, though, that Dorothy Sayers is right up there for me, I found her main character, Lord Peter Whimsey, a very interesting sleuth, and her mysteries very clever.
Other British favorites are Josephine Tey and Margery Allingham.

I too am a writer so am behind on my reading. My blog

I have been gobbling up Cozies. I have a select few that I will purchase and the rest I borrow from the library. In an effort to save money! LOL. I love to read so far my must read list is triple digits. We shall see if I can dwindle it down. I love Jenn McKinlay, Jessica Beck and Joanne Fluke. I also read books by James Patterson and Erica Spindler, J.A. Konrath and many more. Can't wait to chat with fellow bookworms.

I'm Karen and I just found your group. I love mysteries and love to curl up with a cozy read! I'm hoping to be exposed to new authors and find some great cozy reads here!

There's a short story called Hair of the Dog, available at Amazon.

Right now I am reading the Lindsey Boxer series and love them so far, just sad that I am half way through them.

Finally I have a chance to introduce myself. My name is Antje and I am very excited that my first fantasy middle grade novel was just released by Museitup Publishing in June. You can check it out right here on Goodreads or at various online bookstores.
At the moment I live in Germany, but I lived in Canada for the last 10 years. If you like to find out more about me or my book, please visit my website http://www.antjehergt.com/ or check out my author page on Facebook or follow me on Twitter @AntjeHergt
Great to get to know you all!

Thanks for this link!
Hi, my name is Darlene. I read many genres, classics and 20th Century literature, history and biography. When that gets to be too heavy or cumbersome I must turn to an old friend and comfort. There is something to be said for a cuppa and a cozy. Thanks to your group now I'll have someone to discuss them with.

My name is Marla and I live in Birmingham, AL. I have some very favorites that I would love to share with the group.
My latest read has been Rys Bowen and the Royal Spyness Mystery series. So charming...
Before that I read Alan Bradley's Flavia de Luce series and can hardly wait for the next installment.
Lastly, all the Richard Jury books by Martha Grimes are really great. I wish some of those characters really existed...I would love to sit down to tea with them.
It will be great to check out what some others have read and enjoyed.

Hmm, but no new Round Table Mysteries? Aww, guess after those books ill read more Laura Levine..

My name is April, I live in CA. I read just about anything that crosses my path, I'm always open to book recommendations.
