Welcome Celia, this is a very dynamic group.

I also read, collected and loved the Trixie Belden books! I haven't even thought of those in ages. I always received them as gifts for birthdays etc. At one point I gave the collection to a friend for her daughter. Now I wish I hadn't since I have four granddaughters now who I'd have liked to pass the books to.
Hi Jeanine! I'm looking forward to loaning my Trixie books to my youngest niece in a couple years. She just turned seven and loves to read.

I think you'd get a kick out of the MRS BUNDLE MYSTERY SERIES a cozy series set in Vermont https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mrs-Bu...

Sorry, Ed, I meant to post this Goodreads blog link, too. Enjoy the excerpts http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

I also like cozy's as they are nice civilized mysteries that are enjoyable and light reads.

I am Brenda, I live in the Pacific N.W., but I'm originally from Az. I view reading as a vacation or an escape from the daily grind. I love cozy mysteries, but I also read the opposite end of the spectrum, i.e.- Stephen King, Dean Koontz, etc. My favorite cozy authors are Joan Hess, and M.C. Beaton.
Lately I have been interested in WWII fiction concerning family life and also biographies/autobiographies about those persecuted by Hitler and his kind.

Some of my favorites are by M.C. Beaton, Alexander McCall Smith and Anne Perry. (Well, I don't know if that last counts, but I love her books and I always know 1/3 into them who did it. Don't much care, either. I just read them to catch up with the characters and the atmosphere.)
I also write books. I have one cozy called Ice Blue and another coming soon called Blue Murder.
Glad to be here!

Thanks for the welcome, Sue T! Looking forward to finding many new reads here!

Chris, I recommend the following website for researching and finding mystery series:

Welcome, Linda!
Debra: A few of us did a "buddy read" of the first three books in the Trixie Belden series a couple years ago. I enjoyed rereading them, and everyone seemed of the opinion that they were just as good as when we were kids.

I'm JD Collins and this group's description drew me in, so I couldn't resist.
Looking forward to meeting and discussing these cozy mysteries.
Thanks.
