i would love to get a kindle but there seems to be so many i have no idea how they are
i was wondering if the one for about 79 dollars is good; all i would like is to read books from it; i would want something easy to handle, nothing complicated

Welcome to more new ones (from a pretty new one). Peg, I'm still struggling to see mass market paperbacks, but the ones they call trade paperback have larger print. Cost a little more, of course. I notice a lot of new cozies are coming out in trade paperback.
thanks, norma, that's good to know. i am not that crazy about paperbacks unless the print is a bit larger...cannot tell you how many i had to pass up; i can force myself to read them, as i do have reading glasses 1.50 but its very annoying...i just personally feel you can read a longer period of time when the print is not that small

Mike

Welcome, Lydia! Be sure to check out the "Cozy Corner," "Featured Authors and the group bookshelf (top right of sidebar) for TONS of book ideas. Your TBR pile will be overflowing in no time!

Peg, I have to wear 2.0 reading glasses, so I know what you mean when you talk about how hard reading small print is. I'm very glad that all three of my mysteries are available in large-print for readers like you & me!
beth, what are the names of your books?
Welcome Mike and Lydia - and probably others I haven't mentioned. I'm new at this, since I just joined Cozy a few days ago. Mike, you give me something to look into.

I live in rural New Jersey (yes there is such a thing) and have young kids - and never enough time to read...

Just checked out mystery-cozy.com thanks it's just what I needed.
Welcome Andrea. I live in sort of rural Pennsylvania, not that far away.

I'm definitely a mystery/suspense fan, thanks to my grandmother reading me books like the Boxcar Children and Nancy Drew books when I was little. To this day I love curling up with a blanket, a cup of coffee, and a captivating good book.
Hi Ana,
Welcome. I read a LOT of Nancy Drew myself!

Welcome. I read a LOT of Nancy Drew myself!"
They're good books! I've been tempted to reread some of them, or go back and find ones I never read before. You can't outgrow Nancy Drew!

Hi Peg,
Thanks so much for asking! I have two books out so far in the Claire Hanover gift basket designer series:
A Real Basket Case (hardcover)
A Real Basket Case (paperback, ebook)
To Hell in a Handbasket (hardcover)
And, I have one book out so far in the Rocky Mountain Outdoor Adventure mystery series:
Deadly Currents
If you want to see the cover art for the second one, due in May, 2012, go to my website:

And welcome to all you other new members too!

Susan Wittig Albert ( Cottage Tales series), Laura Childs ( Tea Shop series), Monica Ferris and Joanna Campbell Slan. I also enjoy Bill Crider ( Sheriff Rhodes), Steven J. Havill( Posadas County) and Louise Penny but I don't know if you would consider them to be cozies.

Welcome, Jules! My parents, brother and a lot of other family live a bit east of you in KY!

Thanks, Melodie! Are they in Lexington, by any chance? I lived there for 12 years before we moved here.

Thanks, Dianne! It's good to be here. I can't believe it's taken me this long to find this group!

No, farther east than that. They're in Morgan county, about halfway between Lexington and West Virginia.

I live in Southern Wisconsin, and Im currently unemployed because my store went out of business. I worked in a bookstore for almost 5 years and I really really miss it. Its only been 2 months and I feel so lost without knowing what new books are coming out. Hopefully I can get some updates on new books here. Oh! and I'm 26, and currently dating my bf of 2 years and 4 months.
Welcome to Jules and Sarah!
Sarah, it seems we are "neighbors." I am in the Madison area myself. Did you get much snow down by you today? About 2-1/2 inches here, but that's better than what they were getting west and north of here!
