My name is Sally and I live in Australia. I love mystery books and love them even more if they are cosy!
I found this group by following the link through a friend and as I have just ordered The Cat, the Quilt and the Corpse seemed like fate to be here :)

So do I - it was your teaser that helped me discover it - LOL!!!

Welcome! I'm in Aus too and love knowing there are more cozy mystery lovers here! :)

Are there any cozies with parrots in them? I am owned by Sparrowhawk my 4 tear old conure.

Hi Grandma Dee! I just finished What's a Ghoul to Do? by Victoria Laurie, book one in her "Ghost Hunters" series, and the main character has a parrot named Doc. Welcome to the group!
Hello, I'm Norma Huss. I read a lot of cozy mysteries. I'm currently reading Cleo Coyle's Roast Mortum. I'm also a Goodreads author with one book out and another about to come out. I live in Pennsylvania, but I write about Chesapeake Bay.
A former Pennsylvanian I've met, and like to read is Tamar Myers. Have you read her African books inspired by her childhood? Maybe not really cozy, but very good!

I love those books!

Wow, lots of "S" names in this batch.

Grandma Dee, you need to check out Donna Andrews Meg Langslow series. Each book features a different type of bird. We'll Always Have Parrots is the fourth, I think.

I have been really busy rebooting my blog on WordPress. Please stop by if you get the chance.

Hi, thanks for the all the kind welcomes. I'll start out by welcoming the other newbies! Okay, maybe I'll finish with that too.

Kay, I, too, am a fan of Louise Penny's writing, and Christine, are you familiar with Joanna Campbell Slan's scrapbooking mystery series?

Welcome Jaci!
Hi Michelle! I like the Aurora Teagarden series okay, but am more partial to Harris' Lily Bard series. And, of course, I like the Sookie Stackhouse series.

Thanks for the Welcome Heather! I'll have to look into the Lily Bard series soon. I'm in the mood for a good cozy. I've also read Ghost of a Chance, and think I'd like to continue with that series as well.

I'm new here myself and don't know how the comments work but I'm game to try. I recommend that you try Maria Schneider Executive Lunch. It's the 1st of 3 books in a series set in an office IT environment. Very good series; highly recommended.
Hi, my name is Peg and I am also 65 and retired because I haven't been able to find a job for the past five years!!! I like reading cozies but I have to be honest, have to pass on a lot of good ones because of the tiny print which drives me crazy! I will try and look under used book stores to see if they have them in hardcover or large print. I write down authors and your ladies recommend and then I go to my nearby Barnes and Noble and look at these authors and also try and go through some books where the print isn't that teeny tiny. I did find and read Amanda Lee's cozies which were good. I found a new cozy author named Anna Canadeo who now writes under Katherine Spencer and she writes the Cape Light series with Thomas Kinkade.

thank you, Heather. glad to be here and hope to learn about a lot of good cozy books
