Hi Liz, and welcome! I live in Long Beach now, but I lived in Santa Rosa for five years and my family pretty much all still lives there (there and Sebastopol). Pretty area, and Copperfield's is a great resource.

Welcome, Nina. Be sure to check out the "bookshelf" (link at top right of group page) for reading suggestions. Your TBR pile will grow in no time around here!

Tammy - how funny...Long Beach was the last place we lived in So.CA before moving up here. We were there about 2 years. We were in Hermosa Beach before that. We moved up here in Nov. 78. But I grew up in Tacoma, WA.

That is a funny coincidence! Glad to connect with you here.

I'm a huge Janet Evanovich fan. Don't know if the Stephanie Plum books are of the cozy variety but love them anyway.
I work in a consignment shop and write for Berkley Prime Crime.
Wonderful being here.

Hello - I'm a lifelong mystery fan with a special love of both cozies and historicals. Favorite authors include Donna Andrews, Mary Daheim, Lindsey Davis, Elizabeth Peters, Robin Paige. My hobbies are painting, gardening, writing, and birdwatching and I work at a university in academic counseling.
I hope to find reviews and discussions and like-minded folks here!

In aid of making my own prediction come true - Alexandra, if you like Robin Paige, have you read Karen Harper's books about Elizabeth I? They are great. Read them in order if you can. And now I'll hush up, because they are not cozies, but historicals.

and then read the others in that series.
I've got her new book on hold at the library and, after finding this group, many other cozy mysteries on my to-read list.
That same challenge led me to

It also led me to the author Ron Rash who writes about Appalachia.
re: the library challenge. It turned out I was the only one who had entered. After 8 months it was cancelled. I thought I won by default but nooooooo.
They could have least given me a book bag !

My name is Heather and I too love cozy mysteries.
Some of my favorite cozies are Maddy Hunter,
Kate Kingsbury, MC Beaton, Melinda Wells,Mary Stanton,
Jennie Bentley,Penny Warner,Christy Evans, Mary Kennnedy,Denise Swanson, Kate Collins, Annette Blair,
just to name a few.
I blame maria Schneider for my being here.
It is all her fault!
I live in Indy and reading cozies
are my way of relaxing.
I do hope coming here will help me find
new cozies to read.
