The Briar King by Greg Keyes is our reading during May and shall be discussed during June.

Leader/s for the discussion are still needed, so if you have already read this book and wish to help out contact our Mod Julie.

Kelly Flanagan I just receive the book from the library. I haven't started it yet, but I want to be part of the discussion as I do. 'Course I certainly don't qualify as leader material. Just maybe lead book-binding-kisser or that sort. *giggle*

Terence (spocksbro) I've read the book (though it's been awhile). Hopefully, the discussion will dredge up the memories and I'll be able to join in on some of the discussions.

Jeff Watson I've bought the Kindle version of the book and will be starting to read it soon.

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1028 comments I read it years ago. I don't even remember when.

::titter:: I'll have to kiss my Nook! I bought the ebook and plan to read.

Gwynnie I just finished reading The Briar King. I also just joined goodreads less than a month ago. I don't think I'm up to being a discussion leader but I definitely will participate. I really liked the book. It's nice to read a pure fantasy. I thought the different stories and characters in the book were interwoven well.

Mir Read it some years ago. I don't recall it well, but maybe others' comments will bring it back to me.

Jenny (narcisse) I got this book free on Kindle during a promotion last summer but haven't read it yet. Hopefully this will nudge me to get started on it.

Jeff Watson Jenny, I just started reading the Kindle version. It has a hiccup. If you navigate to the 'beginning' of the book it will take you to the prologue. The book also has a prelude which, as near as I can tell, comes before the prologue.

Jenny (narcisse) Thanks for letting me know! They should open to the cover by default. =/

Julie Just a quick update on the Discussion Leader search, we have one volunteer and are looking for another to help team up to discuss this book in June. You won't be alone, so if anyone is interested please contact me, or post. Thanks.

Tracy Dobbs | 121 comments I got this book for free on my Kindle a while back - I've been reading it, but it's been kinda slow going. Well, most of my reading as been slow going for the past six months or so...

Jeff Watson I've finished reading the book and found it to be much better than I expected and better than it seemed from the first few chapters. I've bought the Charnel Prince. Though I've two or three other books to read first.

Sandra (sleo) | 1913 comments I finished the book and really liked it. I haven't bought The Charnel Prince yet because I have too much other stuff to read first, but I plan to. Find myself thinking about it a lot, wondering what happens next.

Kristen (krisnd08) | 13 comments Starting to read it this week. Really looking forward to it, as I bought this book about two years ago and it's been on my "To Read" shelf forever :)

LaTrica Read it sometime last year. I've finished the entire series now and liked it.

Brittany Leake (brittdragonlady) I just started it. It's good so far, but I need a character to get attached to...
