I just receive the book from the library. I haven't started it yet, but I want to be part of the discussion as I do. 'Course I certainly don't qualify as leader material. Just maybe lead book-binding-kisser or that sort. *giggle*
I've read the book (though it's been awhile). Hopefully, the discussion will dredge up the memories and I'll be able to join in on some of the discussions.

I just finished reading The Briar King. I also just joined goodreads less than a month ago. I don't think I'm up to being a discussion leader but I definitely will participate. I really liked the book. It's nice to read a pure fantasy. I thought the different stories and characters in the book were interwoven well.
Read it some years ago. I don't recall it well, but maybe others' comments will bring it back to me.
I got this book free on Kindle during a promotion last summer but haven't read it yet. Hopefully this will nudge me to get started on it.
Jenny, I just started reading the Kindle version. It has a hiccup. If you navigate to the 'beginning' of the book it will take you to the prologue. The book also has a prelude which, as near as I can tell, comes before the prologue.
Just a quick update on the Discussion Leader search, we have one volunteer and are looking for another to help team up to discuss this book in June. You won't be alone, so if anyone is interested please contact me, or post. Thanks.
I got this book for free on my Kindle a while back - I've been reading it, but it's been kinda slow going. Well, most of my reading as been slow going for the past six months or so...
I've finished reading the book and found it to be much better than I expected and better than it seemed from the first few chapters. I've bought the Charnel Prince. Though I've two or three other books to read first.
I finished the book and really liked it. I haven't bought The Charnel Prince yet because I have too much other stuff to read first, but I plan to. Find myself thinking about it a lot, wondering what happens next.
Starting to read it this week. Really looking forward to it, as I bought this book about two years ago and it's been on my "To Read" shelf forever :)
Finished it. Brilliant story. Can't wait for the next one. Loved the build up of each character. Don't have a favorite yet.
