Kat (katwiththehat) | 22 comments With Leah, I think she definitely has her negative qualities, but so does Bran, and I think there's a lot of sad and lonely there, too. And I think it's a shame that she's kind of scapegoated in the fandom while Bran is seen as pretty much infallible despite his treatment of her being pretty cold. They're both gray characters to me, and that makes them all the more interesting.

I've only seen like sentence or two hints towards Jesse and Tad, that could just be wishful thinking on my part, but I like the idea of them better than Jesse and Gabriel. Tad, I guess interests me more, and is tied into the supernatural world. Gabriel not only isn't, but his mother is so anti-everything supernatural that it would seem hard.

Yes you said everything. I agree with you!

I'd like a story about Darryl and Aurielle. Originally, I didn't like either of them all that much, but I've been rereading all the Mercy books and there's a bit that jumped out to me where Adam tells Mercy that Aurielle hated Darryl when he first moved to the pack.

I am completely intrigued - was it an enemies to lovers situation? Or was all the dislike on Aurielle's side until Darryl charmed her into giving him a shot? Or quiet mutual dislike until Adam made them work together on something and they realised it was twu wuv ;) Did Darryl have to chase away any romantic rivals? How did he court Aurielle? His culinary skills? Did she hate everything about him until someone made her admit his creme brûlée was mouthwatering and all of a sudden she started noticing all sorts of other mouthwatering things about him? So many potentially delicious details!

Does Aurielle use her teachers voice on Darryl? Because I can totally imagine him doing what she says on autopilot and then dragging her to their bedroom to remind her who's supposed to be more dominant :D Did his wolf irritate hers on pack hunts? Did his wolf bring her yummy wolf style presents?

Or plot twist! Did she decide she liked Darryl when he still didn't like her and have to chase after him? Maybe she was the one bringing him gifts? And one day she makes him a truly awful apple strudel and darryl has no choice but to give her cooking lessons?

I buy anything and everything PB writes anyway, but this story would have me skipping all the way to the bookshop (Or more likely, humming happily as I click through to Amazon)

Kat (katwiththehat) | 22 comments I'd second a short story on Darryl and Aureille. At first I didn't really care for either of them, but in the last few books they've really grown on me, particularly after Night Broken, and after the opening of Fire Touched.

Yeah, now I've calmed down a bit I can see that it would be better as a short story. Also, I've just realised I book about Aurielle and Darryl would probably include Christy (married to Adam? dating Adam? already friends with Aurielle?) I'm not sure how long Aurielle and Darryl have been together but I definitely remember that Aurielle was good friends with Christy. I haven't warmed up to Christy, and don't really think I ever will, so I'd probably only properly enjoy the story if it was set in pre-Christy times...*sigh*

Brooke (brookeluvsbooks) | 14 comments I would like to see a short story about Tony and Silva, I think seeing everything from a human point of view would be interesting (and we would get more of those cute little girls!! Lol)

Christy just makes my stomach curdle. Most of the side characters I would enjoy reading in short story form, but I don't know if there are any of them except maybe Bran (who Briggs keeps saying we don't get a book on) that I could read an entire book on.

Amy (amylovesgoodbyes) | 2 comments I think I would most like to see a story about Stefan, especially since we already got stories on Samuel and Warren in the short story collection. Not sure I care that much about Marsalia, though. She isn't his maker - and I would be interested in finding out just how he came to be a vampire, as he has implied he doesn't really enjoy being one. I have a real soft spot for him - it's clear that he cares for Mercy very much. Sometimes I kinda wish Mercy could have him and Adam both. I hope we get more of his story in the new book, since Mercy apparently winds up in Europe...

I'd like to see Jesse get her own story, too. I think it would be interesting if Gabriel somehow wound up being bitten by a werewolf and changed - or maybe Jesse - and see how they would deal with it.

Nicholas | 4 comments I want to see a book which is a period piece where the perspectives change back and forth we from Warren to Zee except they never meet. It would be hard to pull off. But I imagine it would end up with Zee landing in America.

MiraJane | 10 comments I'm the odd man out here, but I don't want anyone else to get their own story. I love Mercy and Adam and I love Anna and Charles. Giving someone else their own story means that Briggs will take time to write the story, which means that Mercy Thompson and cry wolf will be put on hold further into the future. I will have to wait even longer to get my Mercy-and-Adam and Anna-and-Charles-fix

Kat (katwiththehat) | 22 comments Yeah I understand that sentiment too. If she had time to do it as a side project, sure, but there's not really anyone I would like to read about enough to delay a Mercy book by a year.
