I want Tad (Zee's son) to get his book. No one really knows anything about him. And I would love to read a book about Sam and Arianna. I feel like some things got skipped over and a lot left untold about their relationship between Silver Borne and River Marked. PB could write it and it could all take place between those two books in the series.
Although I would snatch up a book about Warren and Kyle in a heartbeat (Love them!), I don't think they'd work as full novel. But more short stories would be amazing!
I have to admit to wanting to read more about some of the N.A. characters that were introduced in River Marked. I'd like to see what being a born shifter is like for say--the Hawk brothers. Or maybe what its like being a trainee-shaman. Or even what its like to BE both a shaman AND a trained psychologist. I'd also like to see more about any of the marked survivors of the Beast from Rivermarked. . . Actually, there are very few characters that Patricia has introduced in the series that I wouldn't like to know more about.
Ben or Warren. Ben is one on my favorite wolfs. But i know nothing about him, same with Warren, Ben sounds like he had a different life and back story then the other in the Pack.
Warren because it look like to me that ha also have a hard backstory, few wolfs like there pack mates gay :(

Warren because it ..."
Warren apparently has a novella about him and Kyle. But to answer the question Sam, Stephen, Ben, Asil & Bran...
->I'd like a book where Sam & Ariana are working through their past & present issues.
->I'd like to see Stephen finally pull himself together and break away from the Mistress and find a reason to live again other than Mercy who I believe he's kinda in love with. It can a full-length book or a novella I'm not picky.
-> I'd love to see Ben find the girl that helps him deal with his past. And if this happens I'd love to the interaction with Mercy who treats him like a little brother.
-> I'd like a book or novella where Asil finds a new happiness. Especially after the events of Cry Wolf.
-> Even though we now know the reason why he's with Leah. I'd like to see Bran actually happy with someone strong enough to put her own issues aside and deal with his. Leah just seems like a bitch especially after her revelation to Anna in Cry Wolf but if they could find a balance fine or if he finds someone else who makes him happy and Leah happens to get offed by a hunter that's fine too (<- And yes I know that was a bit harsh & slightly evil).
And I don't know about anyone else but I'm hoping that before the series ends Adam & Mercy have a little wolf-yote pup.
Jessi--is coy-wolf. :oP At least, I think that's what the biologist are calling the ones they've found out in the wild. I'd kind of like a book about Sage (the female were who is sent to stay with Anna in the first book) since its said in passing that she has some kind of horrible tragedy in HER past too, much like Anna's.
And maybe Sage and Asil could get together, since he seems to actually LIKE her.
Yep I was thinking a Sage & Asil hookup would be awesome. Even if it's a looong novella I can deal with that...I hope she tells their stories but I really want a book about Bran.
Don't really want a book about Asil/Sage, I like them as secondary characters, but I'm just not as intereseted in them as some of the others eg Ben, Warren...
I would love to see more of Asil and Sage. It was cool when *spoiler for Hunting Ground* (view spoiler).
I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to write this down before I forgot...I'd like to see a series of short novellas about the female wolves: Honey, Mary Jo, Aurielle, Kara, Sage, etc.
I'd really like to understand how they deal with such a misogynistic hierarchy from THEIR point of view. Mercy explains it as best she can, but she doesn't really know 100%.
Honey seems like she's had a tough life, despite her outward appearance. And Mary Jo still intrigues me, even after the events of Silver Borne. Aurielle is a near mystery but she definitely has bite. Kara is new, but just reading about her via third party experiences make you feel sympathetic towards her. And Sage, well, as others have said, she has a tragic past; she must have some interesting stores living amongst the Marrok pack.
Do the gals get together and grump about the boys? About Mercy? Are they sneakily subversive like Mercy? Have they just given themselves up completely to their wolf lives? What were their 1st change/pack experiences like? So many questions about them!
Elena--it's only semi-old. We still periodically post in it when someone has a new idea on someone they would love to see a short story on.And I think you have a GREAT idea here. How do we get it to Patty do you suppose? Another book to look forward to if she would just consider it.
Have to agree, great idea! The girls definitely deserve their own books, especially Mary Jo. Not only as a werewolf, but also as a woman who works as a firefighter!
Thanks! I love just about anything PB writes.I missed the last few Mercyverse bookchats, but maybe PB will consider participating in one again and I can throw that idea out there for her consideration.
I'm with you on loving PB's writing. I think she conveys so much about her characters yet in a concise way. That's not easy.
Before Silver Borne, I would say without hesitation: Sam. As much as I know it's not possible I would love to read Bran's novel. I know Patty said that part of Bran's appeal is his elusiveness and mystery, but that just make me want to know more abut him. ;)
I would be cool if Bran continues to show up in various books in the series, if anything at all. I always like seeing him when he's there.
I think Patty gives us just glimpses of Bran in order to keep us fascinated--AND frustrated too. How can someone who manages to almost disappear into the woodwork as it were turn in a fraction of a second into this powerful, in total control ALPHA? The closest thing I can think of to it is Richard Boone (very old actor) in his role as Paladin (Have Gun, Will Travel TV series.) Paladin is a gunfighter--but he's also a cultured gentleman, and watching him do that transition in some of the episodes from that cultured character to the gunfighter character is just amazing. That's kind of how I imagine Bran doing it (while looking nothing at ALL like RB.)
(Hops up and down in anticipation of the anthology) an anthology with lots of shorts: How perfect is that!
I would definitely would like for Bran to get his book and for his mate to DIE so he can find true love...I hate her!!! I would love for Asil/Sage and Ben to have their books too. I LOVE BEN!!!
Adam came to the tri-cities to deal with a rogue wolf making a pack and decided to stay. There is a graphic novel with the story of how Mercy came to the tri cities. I wouldn't mind a book on Moria I think it's spelled from Alpha and Omega. She is the blind witch that is mated to I think his name is Ted. She is blind because she sacrificed one of her eyes for more power and the other eye got clawed out. There are a lot of charactors that I would love to read their stories. Zee, Ben, Warren, the little girl from Blood Born that her father came to Mercy about that got bitten when she was 10 and got shipped to Bran for training, Ariana and lots of others
Amanda wrote: "Adam came to the tri-cities to deal with a rogue wolf making a pack and decided to stay. There is a graphic novel with the story of how Mercy came to the tri cities. Early adams pack stories. But for a new book..Ben and Bran.

Ela wrote: "Would love Ben to have his own book, Jesse and Warren would be intresting too, and maybe even Gabriel."I loved the Jesse/Gabriel parts in Frost Burned to bits, so I would clearly be in favour of a book of their own - maybe Mrs Briggs could branch out into the growing MG/YA market (please not NA *shudder*).
It says a lot about Patty's writing when there is so many different characters we like and want them to have their own stories... Great author. :)
OOHHH--Amanda is right--the little girl that is now Bran's newest foster. I'd love to see a story--maybe novella length, since I'm not sure that a short story would be long enough. And how long has it been since that book in "Mercy Time"? I know it's not as long as it's been for us but still, I'd love to see that story. Not only the "back story" (like how the heck she survived at only 10) but also how she's adapting to being around a lot of others who are like she is--i.e. werewolves. And, if she's survived for 3 years as she had at that point when she was introduced, then she's got to be a heck of a strong minded little girl. Sigh, and I can't go back and check my books for the time-line, because they are packed up. Hubby and I are thinking about moving to the beach in NC (down almost to the SC border) and so I've packed up about 48 boxes of books so far. The bad thing--I probably have at least that many MORE books to pack.
Asil should get his own book, or at least some more short stories featuring him as the main protagonist. I really enjoyed his story in the anthology Shifting Shadows, and really like how he helps Anna and Bran in the Omega series. He's such an old soul, with a great back story, and seems like a great hero to me.
Asil, Ben and Bran :). I would also like Young Mercy in Aspen Creek novella, but this is the wrong thread... :P
Michy did you read the collection of short stories? Shifting Shadows: Stories from the World of Mercy Thompson A large part of that book is taken up by Samuel. And it explains WHY Ariana is his mate. I have to admit--until I read that, I wasn't really happy about it either. But the backstory, well. . . . .
I agree Michael. I am fascinated by Moira--a white witch who is powerful, in a world where white witches are essentially powerless. And Tom--I like Tom, he's an interesting male.
RegencyEmma wrote: "Stefan!!!!!!!!"Would love it if Patty went more into the backstory between Stefan and Marsillia.
I love the books where there are interactions with other werewolf packs. So far PB has mostly touched on this with the Alpha & Omega series but I would love for Mercy and Adam (and their pack) to have to deal with some inter-pack dynamics. If it could be done featuring one or more of the more interesting secondary characters (Ben, Warren, Moira) it would be great. Maybe someone from Ben or Warren's past could move to the Chicago pack?
Seeing Mercy and Adam's pack meeting with another pack would be fun to see but I can understand why it hasn't been done yet. Now that the pack has resolved the biggest issue, I think PB can now have an opportunity to introduce other packs. They now work more as a team since all of the hostility towards Mercy isn't allowed.
I want to see Jesse gets her own story. I know that she is kind of attracted to Gabrielle but, it would also be interesting too if she gets her own wolf.Sage & Asil would be great too. There were bits and pieces of their interaction in Alpha & Omega as well as the short story. So wanna read more of them.
Asil (the Moor)! definitely him.....he's my fave of Bran's pack :-) I loved his short story in her anthology Shifting Shadows. I'd also like for Warren and Kyle to get some more stories.....and Ben too he is definitely a complex and interesting character :-)
I really loved "Seeing Eye" and it was such a good, beautiful short story. I wanted more Moira and Tom.
Ann aka Iftcan wrote: "Catia--Tom and Moira make brief appearances in 2 other books, both with Charles and Anna."Thank you Ann. I know but I would love a 200 Pages book with them :)
As far as short stories go (since I'm guessing full books may be only in my hopes and dreams) I would love more on:1. Bran/Leah from earlier on-that relationship is so complicated and interesting. Or Bran and Charles from when Charles was young.
2. Tad. I was very ho-hum on him at first, but in the last couple books he has grown so much more interesting. I kind of wonder if he's being set up as a love-interest for Jesse. I was never the biggest fan of Gabriel... he's just okay in my book, so maybe that's just wishful thinking, but anyway, I'd love some Tad/Zee stuff from when Tad was a kid, or just whatever.
3. Jesse as a kid. Same deal. That girl is just plain interesting. Mature beyond her years and with a positive spirit. Maybe why I think she works well with Tad.
4. Siebold Adelberstmeiter-we keep hearing rumor of all these tales of Zee. Give us a flashback or two :)

Leah is just a substitute women that I would like to know more about her. Is she really a bad person or sad and lonely?
I never thought about Jesse and Tad but makes sense maybe we will see something if our author wants :)
