Shannon Hale Fan Club discussion
How did we all get introduced to Shannon Hale's books?

I must have been about nine or ten, and I was at my cousins house, (my cousin's about two years older than me,) and I asked her what her favorite book was, and she told me The Goose Girl. And I didn't think much about it then, but I was at the library a couple of months later, and the librarian had a stack for book club and offered one to me. I remember reading all three of them and liking them, and then not really thinking about the triogy any more. And then, like, two years later discovered that she had written Forest Born, and being sooo excited, and I love her books even more now.
About 4 years ago I was at my school's book fair and saw Princess Academy. I thought it sounded good, so my mom gave me money for it- now Shannon's one of my fave authors.

A friend gave me Princess Academy for my birthday over four years ago and after that I was hooked.

Chachic can you get me the link for Shannon;s blog? Please!
Olivia - you are right lets not bring twilight in this. At one of my other groups I got in a debate about Stephanie Meyer and almost a fight. I really hate all of her books. I never read THe Host what is it about?

My sister in law to be loves reading. She gives me a bunch of cool books to read. One time The Goose Girl happened to be in the pile. Read it and loved it. From there on I checked all her books out of the library, found her fan forum, and began reading her blog.

Jessie: check up on her Blog, she normally posts information about book signings and such there (of course, i can't give you any info myself because i have fallen behind in reading it. lolz)

I didn't think so either, but it never hurts to check. (and she NEVER does them in my area, so you aren't alone, guys)

she said on her blog that she's not doing any for the next few year with one possible exception on Aug 21. It's in Ut. You can look on her blog. (Note: it's in a blog post, not the calendar.)

I saw Shannon Hale at Barnes and Noble in Utah, thats when I learned about her books. I bought goose girl and she actually signed it!

I was at my library and I was just browsing through books (aka pulling random ones off shelves and reading what they were about) and I happened to come across the Goose Girl and I took it home and read it. Twice. And then went and got Enna Burning and River Secrets. That is all I have read so far but I want to read more of her books. They sound really good.
