A good intro to the series with a unique magic system and a likable heroine. However, it does a little scattered at times, and Allie is not the best judge of character. 3 stars.

Mead, you suck at foreshadowing. Your clues are painfully obvious. Despite that, I enjoyed this one far more than Vampire Academy. It's made me more willing to continue the series. Just under 4 stars.

I am having a hard time sticking to A Hunger Like No Other. I am getting sidetracked and I do not think it is the books fault. Just a little ADD this month. I am finding it a bit odd.

Erin, don't you just love Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret! My mom got it for me when I was going through that weird stage, it was one of her favorites too. I might need to read it again, I'm still in that weird stage. lol
I did. It was actually one of the only Judy Blume books I never read as a teen, so it was nice to revisit an old favorite author. I really wish I'd read it at 12 though, but I still quite enjoyed it now.
