Kate and Curren are hilarous together. ONce you get farther along in the series Lauren you should check out the authors' website. They've got some POV scenes where Curren is telling. Like a certain (view spoiler)[hot tub (hide spoiler)] scene. But you'll get there. ^_-

I second that. Although I recently started to re-read the series and it was still just as fun as the first time.

I thought Gunmetal was okay. I loved the Magic bite series. Unlike many, I had no issues getting into the first book. I know some do. My best friend didn't give it much of a chance, she gave up TWO PAGES before meeting Curran, argh! They have one of the best relationships

Finished and Kate Daniels has become my favorite UF series. Curran and Kate are simply captivating and I love reading the snippets from his POV on the Andrews' website.

I started Dark and Stormy Knights last night, and the first story is "A Questionable Client" featuring Kate Daniels. I understand this story is a prequel to the series. I have Magic Bites out from the library (I saw it on the shelf and just had to grab it!) so I'll be reading it soon. I have to say that the short story really whet my interest in this series! :-)

I read fast, too, so I'm hoping to get to it by the end of the week. Unfortunately, I have a couple books that are do back at the library in three days and someone else wants them so I can't renew them...wahhhhhh! (lol...I'm not really crying, I only check out books I really want to read, so it's actually kind of nice I'm being "forced" to read them!)

There was a lot of speculation of if the series would be good after book 5. So how did it live up your espectations?

I did. I was fairly certain I knew what was going on but I still didn't like it!

Patricia Briggs' Alpha & Omega series is also very good. Starts with

Ilona Andrews is great but some of the others that I adore and find unputdownable are Stacia Kane, Patricia Briggs, Kelly Gay, Darynda Jones and Kim Harrison. Not a duff one amongst them.

I enjoyed the book quite a bit, although I think the panacea is a little convenient. Kate seemed more toned down with moodiness this book so I liked her even more than before. Love Curran as always

Ha, I was on the fence to who to support. Both made sense and both were idiots but that's the great thing about this book. I think when I re-read I'll have a different opinion... maybe, but it won't take away from my enjoyment.

Loved it.

I would probably be mad that each book takes a year to come out except they are so great when they finally come that they are well worth it. Still I wish they were still going to write the Jim and Dali story, at least as another short. **sigh**

Finished yesterday and enjoyed it immensely.

I agree with everyone else that (view spoiler)[Curran's excuse was flimsy to say the least but I'm actually glad that Andrews' developed this issue because Kate and Curran obviously still have things to work out and they would be boring if everything was always hunky dory. (hide spoiler)]

Actually, the aspect that disappointed me the most was (view spoiler)[Doolittle's reaction when Kate saved his life. He reacted as if her would rather be dead than be connected to her magically. It really put a damper on my affection for him and was much more disturbing than Curran's behavior (for which they was an excuse however idiotic) (hide spoiler)]
