Emma (emnor) Bluemoon: What do you mean the first four?! Those last three are like my favorite books :O *dies* ;D

I have a book on hold at the library that I haven't read yet. It's Mastiff It's been a really looong time since I read the last two, so I might have to go back and reread those...

(Also, I have like five bucks in fines off of a DVD I forgot to renew...... Whoops.....)

message 1956: by Dani (new)

Dani (dani_duda25) I just finished The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh and now I am reading The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

Bridget (bridgethw) | 52 comments I am listening to Graceling (The Seven Kingdoms, #1) by Kristin Cashore . The audio is super, read by Full Cast Audio. Its my first book with a cast and I think I like having male and female readers in the same story. I have already read this book but I have busy hands these days so audio is my thing.

Lola (Reading by Lamplight) (hollylilly) Just finished reading Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin and am thinking of starting Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth

message 1961: by Emma (last edited Dec 04, 2011 10:23PM) (new)

Emma (emnor) Holly- Divergent was REALLY GOOD! I liked it a lot. It reminded me of The Hunger Games, only less violent....

Heidi- Graceling is another of my favorites :D I've never listened to it on audio, though.....

Right now I'm reading The Comet's Curse (Galahad, #1) by Dom Testa It's good, but it's kinda creepy when you're the only one awake at your house and it's like two in the morning....

Just because people disagree with you doesn't mean they don't listen to you, Heidi dear. I think your reasons for not liking Divergent are totally valid, and I noticed most of the same flaws you noticed––I guess it just didn't take away as much from my liking of the book as it did for you. :]

Seth (ninjaaaaaofwritingbooks) | 240 comments Yeaaah I always listen to Heidi. Whether or not I actually /listen/ . . . depends.

Also, I'm reading Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) by Richelle Mead and Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris

Don't judge me on either of those! I really liked Vampire Academy . . . and I watch True Blood, so I figured I should read the Sookie Stackhouse books :D

Yay! Love VA!

I listen to Heidi about books she loves. ;)

I finished reading The False Princess by Eilis O'Neal . Not bad for her first book. Could have used more suspense but she has a nice writing style and it was a good story.

Now reading Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer . I've been waiting for this one for a while so I'm excited it finally came in at the library.

I am seriously feeling the love :) I am reading Let It Snow by John Green and just started A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin on audio (it is massive!)

message 1975: by Dani (new)

Dani (dani_duda25) I just finished Extras (Uglies, #4) by Scott Westerfeld . Now I am going to start The Sacrifice (Abram's Daughters, #3) by Beverly Lewis

message 1976: by Seth (new)

Seth (ninjaaaaaofwritingbooks) | 240 comments Shannen! I'm glad that you love VA. Because . . . it's so lovely :D Annnd, Heidi, I've already resigned myself for Dead Until Dark to be just OK. At least, compared to the TV show :P

message 1977: by [deleted user] (new)

Seth - My hubby loved VA too. And I totally agree that True Blood is better than the books. But then again, the show is pretty different from the books.

Hey at least I didn't hate Dead Until Dark. I am normally not a paranormal person so if I think it is ok that is pretty good for me :)

Finished Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer . I thought we had a thread on here about it but I can't find it. If you dislike love triangles, you should pass on it. I loved it and couldn't put it down. It's not Melina Marchetta-type love, more like Simone Elkeles, Richelle Mead or Cassadra Clare-type love (if that makes sense). I will definitely be reading this entire series.

Started Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire last night.

You're ahead of me Shannen -- I will start it after Let it Snow.

I wasn't originally going to read Nightshade because it didn't really look like my thing, but I'm considering maybe giving it a try... just because the author is going to be a judge for ABNA. Meh heh.

I really enjoyed Nightshade. Wolfsbane isn't as good, but it explains a lot about the Keepers, Searchers and guardians.

message 1983: by Seth (new)

Seth (ninjaaaaaofwritingbooks) | 240 comments Shannen, I'm on book three now! :D And it's great. I love those books.

And that's true Heidi! You usually aren't too into paranormal anything . . . ;D

AHHH I love Percy Jackson as well. And that one is my favorite. <3

message 1987: by [deleted user] (new)

Holly - Hoping I like Wolfsbane enough to carry on with the series. What didn't you like about it? Was it a lot of info but the story didn't move along?

Seth - Yay! Sounds like you are loving it as much as I did. :)

Heidi - Not sure if you'll like Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire . It was a quick read and I liked it but I didn't love it. The characters kept doing the same things over and over and it got kind of annoying.

Hi Shannen. I agree with Holly, that Wolfsbane wasn’t as good. There was lots of information, even revelations but the story was slow. I was irritated much of the time with Calla and disappointed by lack of Ren. I am happy that I read it though and I intend to finish the story and hope that things end on the happy notes that I want...

Uh oh! That doesn't sound promising Shannen. I plan to start it in a few days so I will tell you how I like it *vent* later!

Danielle - Yay! I loved it too.

message 1998: by Seth (new)

Seth (ninjaaaaaofwritingbooks) | 240 comments Coooolio. Speaking of VA, which I've been doing a lot of lately, I finished Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3) by Richelle Mead and started Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4) by Richelle Mead . . . Holy shitty ending on Shadow Kiss . . . though I actually expected it.
