This is how I feel, too. It's a safe space.

Oh hell no, that's going too far.

Susan | 6406 comments I am unafraid. I will take it anywhere.

Susan | 6406 comments Yay!!

What is your poison of hard cider, Dubs? My favorite is Angry Orchard.

Susan | 6406 comments ::runs to google Possmann::

message 1156: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Oooooooo! I have not had that one!

message 1157: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I have no idea of where they are made but the easiest to find for me are as follows:

Strongbow
Woodchuck
Hardcore
Hornsbys
Angry Orchard

Those are the ones I have tried, I should say. I like a crisp apple version if available.

Harry (harry_harry) | 226 comments I told my wife that I was going out for "a few.". That was at 5:30pm. It is now 10:44pm ... I'm home!

Hell isn't merely paved with good intentions; it's walled and roofed with them. Yes, and furnished too. - Aldous Huxley

message 1159: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments She probably knew better. "A few" always consists of at least four hours, at least in my experience.

message 1160: by Harry (new)

Harry (harry_harry) | 226 comments She does, but I told her, "truly only a few," because my friend couldnt stay out as he has a 7am flight. He's gonna have trouble in the am.

message 1161: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments He can sleep on the plane.

What you really have to watch out for are the, "We are just going to watch the game". That tends to turn into an all day, most of the night affair.

Payback can sting a little after that one.

message 1162: by Harry (new)

Harry (harry_harry) | 226 comments You don't know him. He'll be drinking on the plane.

message 1163: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Hair of the dog. I have just such a friend, maybe two...

Susan | 6406 comments Just stop trying to make me jealous.

::wants to come over to Dubs' house::

message 1165: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments No laughing! I love tomato basil soup and grilled cheese.

::remembers sandwich shop where the cook would make any kind of grilled cheese I wanted::

message 1166: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Sadly, the sandwich shop closed. :( They made a homemade basil mayo that was divine.

Havarti and pain de campagne is one of my favorite combinations!

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Yeah! There's people playing in this thread tonight.

For the record, I bumped it because if you're like me, you need as much help as you can get to find this thread after knocking back a few.

I didn't knock back a few, though... Or even one... Or even a half... Or a sip.

I went out with friends for sushi. Then I came home and gave Robby a bath for the first time in a reeeeally long time. So yay! He smells nice. Boooo! I have no more hot water to shower for a while. Now I'm gonna do laundry.

message 1170: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I have red wine from last night's bottle that I will probably get into in a little bit.

message 1171: by janine (new)

message 1174: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments I discovered a new drink (to me) called an Irish Margarita. You use Jameson's instead of tequila. Quite tasty, and as last night proves they can be quite potent.

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments They sound delicious.

janine | 7709 comments The Wire becomes even better (and much funnier, to the point of hilarity) after a few drinks.

message 1177: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Must try that. I used to live in Baltimore and like seeing the views of the city, though admittedly not the best parts of the city.

Goodnight Janine,
Well, it's time to go.

I hate to leave you
But I really must say,
Goodnight Janine, goodnight.

message 1183: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Well, it's three o'clock in the morning,
And Janine, I just can't do right,
Well, I hate to leave you, Janine,
I don't mean maybe, because we love you so.
