I'm currently reading and enjoying the world building.

And I'm listening to The Silmarillion while walking my dogs each evening.

And, I'm 'pre-reading' One Month to Live: Thirty Days to a No-Regrets Life before leading a small group study a week after Easter. And, for yet another small group, I need to read The Anatomy of Peace: Resolving the Heart of Conflict before the 24th.

Hmmm ... less sleep, more reading is in my future.

Right now I am reading Fallen by Tim Lebbon, as well as occasionally reading stories from the Kwaidan. The Kwaidan stories are enveloping, strong stories that have stood to the test of time. And like most stories that have lasted, they are able to curl around the little bits that humans pretend don't exist, within or without of our souls.

Right now I'm reading Nickel And Dimed: On (Not) Getting by in America by Barbara Ehrenreich I have to read it for college but it actually is really really good. It bluntly tells the truth of working at low wages jobs in america. I typically don't like these sorts of books and rather read a fiction any day, but it is actually really good.

I'm in the middle of several different books but none of them are really hooking me so I keep picking up a new book hoping that this one will do it, but it hasn't happened yet.

Currently re-reading The Ships of Merior (book 2 of The Wars of Light and Shadow) by Janny Wurts. The newest volume will be out fairly soon and I am refreshing all the details of the series. Also, still trying to finish Anathem, Neal Stephenson's "true fantasy" novel, which is just awesome.

Let's see....I'm finishing up Storm of Swords by George R R Martin. Then I'm going to read The Price of Spring by Daniel Abraham, which I finally got from the library. After that I'm going to read the second book of The Dreaming Dark...whatever it's called. And then book three of The Dreaming Dark..whatever it's called. After all of that I'm going to start the Briar King. Whew...I hope I make it.

This is a good time to start the Malazan books-- I believe the 10th and last volume is released this summer in Britain and this fall in the USA. :)

Looks like you have some great reading planned. I'm also going to be reading Silver Borne soon, just as soon as it lands in my mailbox from the Book Depository. I've also had Oath of Fealty on my radar and I've already read the Desert Spear and it was great! Wild Ride I haven't heard of but I love Cruise so I'll have to check it out.

Unfortunately, I live in the sticks. Over the weekend I drove 45 minutes to the nearest bookstore hoping to find a Robin McKinley book or perhaps another fairy tale retelling. As you can imagine the two bookstores in town are fairly pitiful. As a result, I ended up with The Briar King which is our group read for next month. Honestly, I had low expectations for the book but now that I've started it I'm actually enjoying it.

I just finished Killer Cows, which is actually quite a good book, featuring spaceships, video games, NASCAR, really mean bulls with really sharp horns, and a 14-year-old hero who learns not just to find friends but to make them as well.

Currently reading Rain, a spy thriller featuring a young girl who's spent her entire life in a spy training facility.

I started a paranormal fantasy romance called Immortals after dark series. I like to switch my reads up between fantasy, paranormal, romance, and mystery.
