Yes, especially when they expect you to spend 20 hours a week on school, on top of a full time job and raising a kid (4 days a week). When am I supposed to be able to relax and read? :(

That sounds like a good idea.
But just to keep this thread fresh, why don't we (if you have the time) post a quick little something about the book you just finished? I think that would be a great way to add to your TBR list (like we need to, LOL) or get an opinion on a book you want to read.
For example, I just finished the third book in Dean Koontz's Frankenstein series. I know we're a chick lit group here, but I'm sure we all read other genres. Koontz is my absolute favorite author and has been since I was 12 years old.
In the beginning of reading this book, I found out that he has written a fourth in the series to be relased...I think....in July. I wondered how in the world he was going to be able to do that. Once I got to the end of the third book, I found out and I am excited for the fourth one. It's been a great series completely unlike any Frankenstein series I've ever heard of before.

Oh Kourtney, I AM jealous! LOL! Yours actually sounds a bit more interesting than mine. I am currently taking "Education Without Boundaries." It's the orientation "class" for the new college that I'm taking my online classes through. It's so riveting.....not!

I have a question for everyone, especially those of you that read so quickly. Just something I've been wondering about. How soon after you finish a book do you start a new one? Do you start the new one immediately, or wait awhile? I have so many books to read that I don't have time to wait very long in between books! I either wait til the next day to start the new one, or at least do something else for a few hours (like watch tv or do homework).

Suzanne: I have literally finished a book and then run to my bookshelf for the next one. Usually towards the last quarter of the book I am reading I am already picking out my next.
I read Little Bitty Lies by Mary Kay Andrews. It was cute. Southern Chick Lit. I enjoyed it.
Am currently reading Baby Proof by Emily Griffin. I didn't remember what this book was about because I bought it so long ago, but so far the yellow cover with little booties on it is very misleading :-P Great book though.

I think what helped was that I listened to it and it was read by Chelsea... Have you read Jen Lancaster's? I love hers!

I did for the first time the other day and enjoyed it (I have a treadmill as well, but have also run outside with the audiobook playing). Was listening to Chelsea Handler at the time, now I'm onto Janet Evanovich's 4th book.

I recently finished listening to the Chelsea Vodka book...and same for me, I was quite disappointed...I actually like her first book better even though the narration wasn't her own voice..
Today I finished How to Sleep with a Movie Star...I highly recommend it!! It is a true cinderella stort. So cute...very entertaining...I can't wait to read more of Kirstin Harmel's books...she's been on my TBR list for too long:)

I loved the Brooke Miller series....maybe we should write her and request a third one!! :)

It depends on my mood and what I've got planned at the time I finish it. Sometimes I finish and I'm like, ok, what next? And I dive right in. Other times, I'll wait until the next day....but that's usually in a case of it being 10 or 11 at night when I've finished the book. :)

I thought that too when I read Baby Proof - but I really liked it. I have Love the One You're With and I really want to read it, there are so many other that keep getting in the way though. LOL!

I'm usually reading more than one book at a time too.

Congrats Alicia! I think listening to an audiobook while working out would be better. It's easier (in my opinion) to lose track of time when listening to an audio book because it just keeps going without really any breaks (other than chapter or end of disk announcements). When I listen to music while on a treadmill or bike, I start counting the songs and focusing on how many have played and multiplying that by the average 3 minutes per song to calculate how many more until I can get off the dreaded machine. Maybe it's just me, but I don't seem to have that problem with audio books, I'm usually able to get lost in the story.

I LOVED How to Sleep with a Movie Star!!! It was such a great story. I had to get all of her other books after reading that and I don't think I've been able to get to any of them yet. :(

I have a whole bunch of them (maybe all?) on my oldest TBR list for this challenge so I'll let you know...though they are hard books to find...unless you pay full price I guess..I'm so cheap though!! I got your friend request on PBS btw..thanks!

I'm reading the Stephanie Plum series. I had listened up to book 3 so put book 4 on my choice list for the challenge :)

I have found a good number of chick lit audio on Demonoid...but other than that I have to look for the few library ones offered for ipod too...what state do you live in? I live in a small town in Massachusetts so I use the Boston library online as a better resource for audiobooks than my own local online library...have you checked out whatever your main city's library has?

Those were monthly books last summer and it was great because I asked Brenda to comment in our discussion and she played a huge role in our discussions! She is soooo nice! You can look back through the threads, I know we discussed the possibility of a third book but I don't think she had any plans at the time.

It's a great series, isn't it? I love it! I cannot wait for Sizzling Sixteen to come out this summer!

Fantastic! I'll have to check those out. The way she left things in the epilogue, she could definitely write a third.

Oh I was thinking like because I'm a Mass resident I can access the bigger Boston media library so maybe you could have access to eithe Albany or New York City's media (eNYPL) - a lot of theirs look iPod compatible? Maybe it doesn't work like that elsewhere? Definitely let me know if you find any other audio resources..I'm always searching!

http://overdrive.libraryweb.org/
I found a bunch of iPod ready downloads but maybe you already read them like Love the One You're With, Shoe Addicts Anonymouos, Meg Cabot....it's the same platform my local library uses..Overdrive..and you just transfer them to your iPod...it's been really good (til you listen to all the chick lit they have:))

No unfortunately with all the licensing permissions u can only transfer it to ur iPod but can't email it or save it to ur computer or anything

Thanks for the link Cathy, I'm hoping I can use it too. I'm going to check it out. My library is supposed to have ebooks for download but I can't ever get it to come up. It's always just a blank page. They just updated their website in the last six months...maybe they're not completely done with it yet.

Result! I should've complained sooner, it seems as though I cannot get on the Rochester one that you're on Alicia, but my local library finally got their act together and put it on the website! Woo Hoo!
I was going to start using it tonight but I'm still in the process of transferring my iTunes stuff from one computer to the other....ugh, what a pain. Isn't there somebody I can pay to do this for me? (Not that I could afford it anyway, LOL!)

It won't delete from your iPod after the borrowing period but it will delete from the Overdrive software...I have lost stuff on my iPod accidentally cuz I forgot to transfer them and then had to redownload them from the library...it's a pain cause then you lose your spot in the book (or worse if you have to wait to check it out b/c too many people have borrowed the book!)
All in all it works real well though and it seems like they are always adding new titles!!

Anytime! It's been so convenient for me...even though technology can be frustrating at times...gotta love the ability to just download a favorite book online and plug it into your portable player and go!

No problem Jen, I'll use my original post as my own personal score tracker but update you in new posts starting with the next book I finish...good luck with the Baby, sounds like you've become an expert juggler!!

Part C: Lift - Kelly Corrigan
It's essentially a letter to her daughters. I cried the whole entire time (happy & sad tears). She also wrote the Middle Place which is about her battle with cancer (another great book!)
