Dark Rivers of the Heart Yes, I consider it a romance book even if it by Dean Koontz ;) One of my 'favorites' of his. It has a dog in it too.

Pleasure of a Dark Prince and Demon from the Dark
Dark Horse & A Thin Dark Line & Dark Paradise are still romantic suspense, though TH was starting to cross over to thriller here.
