I liked his interview, and that clip from the movie was funny. For some reason, I really like that kid. Ok, he's not so much a kid anymore but still. I remember seeing him on Cribs and thinking that he was pretty awesome.

Seems like he's being raised right (or has a good publicist!). I'm glad he got picked.

I think it's because he's really likable, which is a very Peeta-esque quality. Having watched the interview, I just want to hang out with the kid. When he talked about the roadtrip across the United States, going to Yellowstone, wanting to do real camping without the Internet & technology. If he were a few years older I might have fallen in love lol.

Umm. I didn't picture Peeta or Gale to look like the two guys cast for the movie. Sorry, guys, I was hoping for a more sweet looking Peeta and a dark haired skinny Gale, like in the book. Call me a book purist, but I feel that the characters in the movie should look at least close to the ones in the book.

I've never seen the Gale choice ever in anything. So I'm completely ambivalent.

I think Liam Hemsworth's only "famous" movie was the Nicholas Sparks one he did with Miley Cyrus.. The Last Song? I have no idea. But his brother, Chris Hemsworth, was in Star Trek and Thor and he's beautiful.

I never watched The Last Song either, so I've never seen him in anything. Which I think is good because I have nothing to judge by.

I actually think that Liam looks alot like how I pictured Gale, just that his hair is a few shades too light. He has the tall lanky build I pictured, just like Josh has the build that I think that Peeta has.

The only things that don't match are the hair colors, and I can get over that.

Yeah, I'm going to look around on the web and see what I can see what the crew is doing to Josh. Thanks for mentioning that they are starting to post Hunger Game pics. I only saw their pics on IMDB where they post a portrait pic.

Oh it's not actually filming pics that I've seen but a lot of photoshopping him blonde and it works surprisingly well.

His interview just did me in. He charmed the pants off of me. Only that's a horrible phrase and I am never using it again and I swear I am wearing pants. Sweatpants but totally pants.

Josh won't be blonde for the movie. While looking for stunts, they specified they wanted a guy with light brown hair. I think it's better that way, I think blonde wouldn't suit him at all. There's nothing worse than a man with very dark hair turning blonde. xD

Anyway, EW is releasing a first pic of Jennifer as Katniss tonight!

I always failed really hard to picture Peeta with blonde curls from the book description, so I don't have any problems with Josh's hair. I'm having more difficulties with Liam, especially since it looks like it will take a lot of work to make it look like he has never had a decent meal.

In the end, I just hope the films will be good as finished products, because I think there is a lot of brilliant film material in them!

I don't think anyone here is overly excited about Liam but they seem to be putting a lot of thought into the casting so I have to trust that he is ok. To honest Gale is barely in the books so I am sure his part will be minimal anyway.
