We had a kitty named Milo too and he was also a big fatty. We have three kitties (siamese-Poppy, orange-Oliver and gray-Cleo) and two dogs (schnauzer-Duncan and lhasapoo-Libby). We love our animals!
I like shi-tsus too! We were so happy to find Libby. She looked like a little ewok when we got her.

And apologies if you all already discussed this in prior posts, I see there are 12 pages of comments but I didn't read all of them!

I did pre-order Mockingjay from Amazon because it's only 8.45 for the hardback and if the price lowers before it releases, they give you the lowest price. Normally I wouldn't bother because of all the hype (1.2 million copies first run, up from 750,000 I just read).
But I want to know what happens, it was very inexpensive for a hardback, and I want to be able to love it or bash it along with my fellow readers. :P

Thanks for the help!

I read them back-to-back like one big 'ol book so adored both of them equally. I do think it makes a huge difference as CF was a bit off in the beginning so you don't notice it as much with one continuation... /shrug

I have been trying to get my hubby to read this series since I read it. He keeps reading his Clive Cussler books and ignoring my recommendation. The other night he told me that he needed to get a new book before we go camping this week. Soooo, I bought Hunger Games for him and now he is forced to read it. Haha!

For me anyway I prefer the characters more than the story, I want to see what will happen to the characters and that is the only reason I am getting the last book.

My husband doesn't like to read much unless the book happens to be a true story, and he's really liked these books.

And I'm all for Peeta. My son's name is Peter, he has blond hair and blue eyes. He's not into baking but loves to paint all over walls. So how could I not choose Peeta?
Ive finally read the 2 first books, and i LOVED it. Couldn put the books down <.< So now i cant wait for the next one!

I always compared Gale to Edward and Peeta to Jacob. IMO Peeta and Jacob are the underdogs.

If I had to guess who got the girl going off the first two books, I would say Gale, but that doesn't mean I will stop rooting for Peeta. lol Katniss did seem to get some sparks from Peeta in Catching Fire. I think the love triangle is really going to evolve in Mockingjay.

Honestly, I think that Gale might die in book 3. Collins doesn't seem afraid to kill off a main character. Peeta has almost sacrificed himself twice, so it would be really redundant if he died.
Although, if one love interest dies so she doesn't have to make a choice, that would bother me.
I like Gale for her better, but it seems like Peeta will be who she ends up with.

If she doesn't have to make a choice it would bother me too!

A default hookup would be bad...

I love the series myself, but it doesn't surprise me that this series is not for everyone.
Sometimes it can suck to be in the minority of people that don't like a series. There are a couple of really popular series that I think are "ok" but don't understand why people get fanatical about them.

I'm on Team Peeta. Gale is a jerk and Peeta put his life on the line for her.
