Caity1616 | 41 comments Really I'm reading Clockwork angel (the infernal devices) which is sort of based on the time before The Mortal Instruments series. It wasn't that great in the first chapter but now it's getting better.

message 2811: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm reading The Painted Veil. It's not too bad at the moment, but not good enough so far for me to see why everyone is raving on and on about it.

message 2812: by Caity1616 (new)

Caity1616 | 41 comments really?.. I've never hear of it.

I only discovered it recently. Most of my friends have been like, "Oh my gosh... you have to read it... it's the greatest thing in the world...." etc etc etc. So I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. However, I haven't reached the major plot-turn yet, so I'm not in the best position to judge.

How good do you think they are? Not sure about If I Stay but the other looks good although I only looked at it qickly - I didn't even read the blurb so I'm not that sure.

I've only read If I stay but it was really good. I wasn't sure about it, but I needed something to read while I waited for my piano lesson so I grabbed it off the shelves of my school library, and I wasn't disappointed. I highly recommend it!

Like of all time? Wow, that's hard. REALLY hard. Perhaps the Book Thief, by Markus Zusak. It's close though, with the Harry Potter books, but I think that the BT is even more amazinger (yes iPad, amazinger is a word!) and well written.

message 2822: by Charmaine (new)

Charmaine Clancy (charmaineclancy) | 4 comments In the tween to teen mystery phase at the moment.
Just finished Emily Rodda's The Ghost of Raven Hill - it was ok, but I preferred the first book in the series.
Am now reading Trixie Beldon series The Secret of the Mansion by Julie Campbell - first read that one when I was 12 - almost 30 years ago!
No idea which book will be next but it will be a kids mystery or thriller (research for a story I'm writing).
