message 2177: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Oh no! A smilie war! Whatever shall we do? o.O

Still reading Party Princess by Meg Cabot. It's book 7 in the Princess Diaries series, and I'm almost developing a different opinion of certain books in the series than i was when I first read the series about 2 years ago- which is not completely strange, but I tend to keep the same opinions of some books.

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) Let's try to direct the posts back to the original topic, ladies. Yall are more than welcome to start your own smiley topic where you can post smileys if you want :P

message 2182: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Hahaha, we do TRY and stay on topic most of the time. ^_^

Caged in Darkness by our very own member, J.D. Stroube! I'm quite enjoying it so far.

message 2183: by Kate (new)

Mayze Taylor wrote: "Just started Ender's Game and The Elusive Pimpernel on the plane today. And finished Getting the Girl this week."

Ender's Game is fantastic, I've been reading the sequels and they're great too. I hope you like it!

message 2189: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Sometimes. I like the cyclops. I don't have any good smileys. :(

I love Enders Game.

message 2190: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments This is slightly off topic, but I really can't stand constant self-promoting. Like if you're an author and you get on a site and are constantly talking about how people should read your book, it makes me personally NOT want to read the book in question.
Anyways sorry, that was just on my mind and I felt like I needed to get that out there.

Agreed, Rae. Or when authors vote for their own books on listopia lists.

message 2196: by Kate (last edited Aug 02, 2011 05:32PM) (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Yeah, I agree with Rae and Amelia. I understand feeling proud and wanting people to read your stuff, but at some point (pretty soon actually) it just gets annoying.

z / \

(-_-) it's a wizard (ignore the z. goodreads wasn't registering spaces)

message 2197: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments It's fabulous, Kate! lolz. i like it. ^_^

Amelia and Kate- It really irks me, and I've been seeing a lot of it lately but I don't say anything because i'm trying to be nice about it.

*sighs* Ally Carter, that's a good writer.......*needs Uncommon Criminals*

message 2198: by Kate (last edited Aug 02, 2011 06:16PM) (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Thanks. I tried. ._.

I waited forever for that book to come in at the library, and right when it would have, I went to camp. But I got it eventually so all was well. It was good.

message 2199: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Hahaha You're welcome.

My library still doesn't have it. I couldve gotten it when I got GCL's new book, but I had been waiting more anxiously for GCL's book.

message 2200: by [deleted user] (new)

Finally got a copy of Gail Carriger's Heartless from my work, so I'm going to be starting that once I get caught up on things that I let fall to the wayside while I started initial recovery from getting my wisdom teeth removed. :/

Also, still reading Delusions of Gender.
