I just finished Crushed by K. C. Blake and it was so cool. There are three sisters that are witches and they use their powers to play a game at school called Crushed. Kristen picks the wrong boy to put the spell on and someone starts trying to kill her. The romance is great. They start off hating each other but fall in love. Anyway, it was awesome but I don't want to say more and spoil it for you.
I love To Kill a Mockingbird! I've never read Crushed though... Right now I'm reading Those That Wake by Jesse Karp. It started out slow but it's getting better.
I'm attempting to read Runaway but it is kind of sickening in places. I can only handle a certain amount of sap and kissing.
It just kind of went downhill. I want to finish Runaway though for the sake of finishing the trilogy.
Re-reading Harry Potter series for about the 10th time . . . Did anyone else see the last movie yet? I did (midnight showing) It was so good . . . . . . . . .
I went to the midnight showing too! It was sooooo good :) I think I'm going to re-read them once I'm done with Beauty Queens, which I started today.
No. It's just the font and the chapter illustrations. And to Rae, Children's, but I'm looking at getting these:
No, Its the exact same story, but with a different cover.
Mine are the British (childrens) versions. I like them better that the American ones, for some reason.

There are no chapter illustrations in the British children's version, if thats what you were referring too.
Still on British Childrens Edition, The Philosopher's Stone has 2 different back covers. The original is
But I believe its been out of print for a while, and the new one is:
Ive only ever seen that new one in book stores, and most of my friends have that edition too. Just a heads up.

Really? See, I didn't know that. MOST of the American versions do, although I know one that doesn't (which would probably be considered the adult version here).
And I don't know what world Goodreads is living in... When you look up this edition here, it says it's a pop-up book. I have the edition with this cover, and it is very clearly not a pop-up book. It doesn't even have chapter illustrations, except for the one that's used on the cover!
I don't own any of them... But I'd like the British children, but it's Harry Potter, so I don't really mid what edition it's in.
I keep seeing the British covers at my local Half Price Books and it makes me excited to think of who will get them and adore them. <3
Currently reading: Kingdom Keepers (book 1), Atlas Shrugged, & Delusions of Gender.

I have the British children's (the one that Rae showed) edition of the fourth Harry Potter, because we were in France when it came out, so we bought it in the Paris airport. All the rest are American first editions, whichever those are, but having read one in British, I wish I had all of the British versions. They change things to make it "more American", which I think is stupid. I understand the punctuation differences, but to say sweater instead of jumper? Really? I think we can figure it out. Actually, I know we can, since I did it. And then the whole sorcerer's-philosopher's stone thing is particularly bad, because it's pointless and changes even the title of the book.
And even with the sweater/jumper thing, it's switched for the first several books but by the 5th I think they don't really care anymore.

hahaha. Oh dear.

Finally decided on The Girl in the Steel Corset, because I love me some steampunk! It's pretty entertaining :D
I need to read The Princess Bride! The movie is one of my favorites. I also want to read more steampunk. Is The Girl in the Steel Corset any good?
I started Eating Animals today, and I can say that I don't recommend it to anyone who loves eating meat. Unless you really want to go vegetarian, and I am actually considering it.
Afterlife By Claudia Gray. the last book in her Evernight seriously, I gave up my dreams of (view spoiler) and am now content on only reading this book to see the end, though it does answer a lot of questions.
I need to get that one eventually, Way....and everyone else who highly recommends it, but I haven't found it at my town library and haven't looked at the county one.

Most of the humor in the movie is straight from the book. Actually, come to think of it, that is one of the most faithful movie adaptations I have ever seen. Anyway, read the book. It's really good!
I'm pretty sure (at least, this is what my dad told me) that William Goldman wrote the screenplay for The Princess Bride so that's one of the reasons everything is basically straight from the book.I'm reading it right now (and am almost done with it) and it's phenomenal. I didn't want it to be one of those books where you read it and watch it and have a favorite of the two- the movie is done so amazingly that it's not a problem. They are both exceedingly great.
