Amelia: Did you happen to get an ARC of Forever?"

Yes! I got one at BEA and I'm trying to get through it now. At the moment, not a lot is happening, plot-wise :/

Penny from Heaven by Jennifer L. Holm"

I love that book!!!!!! It was one of the first few books that got me hooked on reading.

message 1755: by Diana (new)

Diana I just finished The Twin's Daughter by Lauren Baratz-Logsted which was rather confusing and weird until the last few chapters. Now, I'm reading In the Shadow of the Lamp by Susanne Dunlap and so far I'm enjoying it.

message 1757: by Melanie (new)

Melanie Harries (melanieharries) Reading Beauty Queens by Libba Bray.

Colette-writer-reader-dork (ColetteWriterreaderdork) | 11 comments Currently reading Jealousy

Its the third in the series and I am loving it!

message 1759: by [deleted user] (new)

Currently reading the It Gets Better Project book. And I'm consulting the official Walt Disney World 2011 Guide to plan that part of my trip to Florida in a couple of months.

Wives and Daughters-Elizabeth Gaskell

message 1762: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I finished it last night, and I did like it.
I found the ending kind of hard to get through, but I did like the book in general.
Now I am attempting to read Matchedby Allie Condie. I say 'attempting' because I'm having an extremely difficult time to get into.
It seems like a copy of The Giver in some ways.

message 1763: by Katelyn (new)

Katelyn | 10 comments Still reading The Grapes of Wrath. I personally don't like it, but has anyone read it that can promise that it will get any better?

message 1764: by [deleted user] (new)

Katelyn wrote: "Still reading The Grapes of Wrath. I personally don't like it, but has anyone read it that can promise that it will get any better?"
I can't promise it will get any better because every time I've had to read it throughout my education, the best parts were the discussions in class based around the novel. :|

message 1765: by Frank (new)

Frank I recently took a shot in the dark by buying a completely random book from my bookstore. It's titled The Stormcaller by Tom Lloyd. I haven't started yet, but I plan to tonight.

I can't promise it will get any better because e..."

Yeah, currently my favorite part is the notes in the back of the book explaining things like SPAM.

message 1767: by Melanie (new)

Melanie Harries (melanieharries) I've given up on Beauty Queens.. It got to a point where I literally felt like I was wasting time persevering with it. So now I'm going to read "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult :)

message 1768: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I finally got around to starting The Hunger Games Took me long enough! I finished the first one, and I like it so far.
I'm in the middle of Catching Fire now.

I definitely like Peeta better than Gale, but who knows? Maybe my opinion will change. I doubt it.

message 1769: by kathrine (new)

kathrine (scarlettshea) | 391 comments I think it might if you read the whole series!

★ Jess | 4295 comments Mod
I disagree, I was Team Peeta all the way :)

message 1771: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I always like the Peetaish boys better than the Galeish boys.
In most book I read anyway. I'm very consistent.

message 1772: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments I agree with Jessica.

Finshed The Pact, now starting Beastly.

message 1773: by [deleted user] (new)

Finished Bullyville by Francine Prose, so I can now concentrate on A Spy in the House by Y.S. Lee. :)

message 1774: by Gavin (new)

Gavin (gob7893) | 5 comments I see a lot of people have read The Pact by Jodi Picoult. I have read Nineteen Minutes and My Sister's Keeper and liked them a lot. Is it a good book?

Also, I'm going to begin Lies by Michael Grant. #3 in the Gone Series.

LOVE! lolz

I was Gale throughout the books- normally I go for the Peeta-esk guys, but I like Gale's character a lot. But rereading the 1st HG book, I was really leaning towards Peeta. hmmm....:D

message 1779: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I'm going all out with Sarah Dessen now. It's your fault! :D

Gale seemed kind of jerkish to me. Like, a lot. Peeta was sweet. And besides. (view spoiler)

message 1780: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Oh darn, and it's such a tragedy, isn't it? :)

message 1781: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments You, know, I kinda hated how she did that. It erased their relationship they had in The Hunger Games and Catching Fire.

Finshed Beastly, starting The Lovely Bones.

message 1782: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Rae*Gnomey* wrote: "Oh darn, and it's such a tragedy, isn't it? :)"

Oh yeah, I'm now starting The Truth about Forever Look at the torture your inflicting on me.

message 1788: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments I know how those are. :) I love books like that. You know an author's done a good job when the book seems to be attached to your hands and you can't take your eyes off the pages.

message 1789: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Yeah, I finished DH at 3 AM.

message 1790: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Of course right.

message 1795: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Yeah, :) I don't think I was up late reading Mockingjay, but I was definitely reading as soon as i opened my eyes the day after i started.

message 1796: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I was up reading Just Listen pretty late too.
And I can see myself sitting up reading This Lullaby

message 1797: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments I haven't read any Sarah Dessen books O.o I have one... I just haven't read it. i want to read of few of hers, tho.

message 1798: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I've just started reading them. Like, this week.
I really like them so far though. There is only one thing I don't really like and that is I can usually predict the ending. I still like the books and writing though.

message 1799: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments You definitely should, Natalie. They are phenomenal!

message 1800: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Yeah, Sarah Dessen has a fairly predictable plotline in each of her books, but you get that
