What Are You Reading Right Now?
I am reading Beastly!! I want to see the movie after. I always read the book before the movie. It is really good so far!!!!!!!!!!! Luv the cover................Beastly
Beastly was a fun book; haven't seen the movie yet, but I really want to!
City of Bones- im rereading this one, but i haven't read the others in the series yet.The Lord of the Flies- starting this for class
Danielle wrote: "Beastly was a fun book; haven't seen the movie yet, but I really want to!"Me too!!!
About to start Red Riding Hood. Totally didn't connect the dots that this is the book based on that movie that just came out.
Be warned, Amelia. I just read it and you don't get an ending. You have to watch the movie to find out (the book was written because Catherine Hardwicke [directer] felt like it couldn't all translate well in the film.)

That's a little bit silly.

It seemed solid enough, so I bought it :) Haha!
ahh! I hope you luuuuuuurve TYGER TYGER!Read it with a cup by your side. You'll need something to catch the drool that will drip out of your open mouth at the sheer awesomeness of it all.

Amelia- it was okay, I guess, but it just didn't seem like a solid enough ending for me. :)Kate- You can? I'll go check that out
Jess- I've (so far) only gotten through the first 3 chapters that we are supposed to read before Monday. But I also am reading City of Bones and what with the stuff with my choir director (details posted in "Introduction" posts 1552 and 1557) and then baking for my youth group's bake sales to raise enough money to send 4 of us to Youth 2011 at Perdue University (It's a national United Methodist Youth COnference. there's also one in California [Sacramento, I believe]) So I've been quite busy.
I think so, Rae, but I may have heard wrong, or wherever I heard it from might have gotten it wrong. So I'm sorry if I got your hopes up for nothing. The Ghosts of Ashbury High by Jaclyn Moriarty
I finished Beastly!!! It was soooo good!! Can't wait to see the movie... I am reading Shiver now.. The cover is pretty!!!:-)
I went to the Festival of Books yesterday and it was so much fun! I listened to Lisi Harrison, Abby McDonald, Joanna Philbin, and Elizabeth Eulberg! I got The Ghoul Next Door signed. I was three feet away from Jamie Lee Curtis and her bodyguards almost ran me over :S

Hahah, I'll let you know. I haven't had the chance to look yet.
Hahah, I do. It had more of a solid ending. The last page in the book didn't even tell you who the wolf was- which irked me, because it was a loose end.
I just read The Van Allen Legacy, it was a really good book by De La Cruz. It is a Blue Blood novel, i dont know if anyone here has read it.
@Carissa: I've only read the first book in that series; haven't decided if I want to read more of her works yet.

Currently reading What the Librarian Did. It's so slow and not as loltastic as Awful Library Books portrayed it to be. :( I am disappoint.

Yikes, As I Lay Dying... Did not like that work either (and it was on the syllabus for 3 of my college courses. Dx ).
Finshed City of Glass, now reading The Summer of Firsts and Lasts. I love The Mortal Instruments... Sometime in the next week my English class wil be starting The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton.

I wish I only picked up 6 books at the library! (Each time I come in to work I go home with upwards of 20+ items, mostly books.)
Anyway, I'm currently clearing my mind by reading a Phineas & Ferb book. Tomorrow I'm getting on a plane to deal with an out-of-state family emergency, so I'll be bringing The Hunger Games with me. Can't avoid that YA phenom forever.

Well obviously you didn't read the books. It might be a good enough movie, but if you've read the books, it stinks.
It really does. The book is like a boulder of awesomeness and the movie is like.....a grain of sand in comparison.
Deidre wrote: "im reading the lightning theif and i am about to read the lovely bones"I love Percy Jackson!! And yes, I hate the movie. But I LOOOVE Logan Lerman!
Anyway, I'm reading Vanished by Meg Cabot. Anyone's ever read this book?

Vanish by Meg Cabot as in the Missing series? Yes I've read them!

I say, read City of Bones. I really liked it! When I first bought the book I was skeptical about reading it but in the end it became an enjoyable and worth reading!

Scarlettshea wrote: "Almost done Shiver!!!"
I just finished reading it and now I'm also reading Linger!!
Diana wrote: "I'm reading The 39 Clues: Vespers Rising, the 11th book in the 39 Clues series."OOH! My library has that, but since I'm "boycotting" my library right now (not checking books out so i can read books I own and that are lent to me.) I technically can't. :)

I really like HIVE. I didn't particularly want to read it, but I'm glad I did. I just find it very annoying that most of the books aren't out in America.
