It was pretty cute. It got really slow for about 50 pages toward the end, but overall it was great. I'd recommend it :)
I was hoping it was good, it was one of those that looked so cute but I wasn't exactly sure and it could have been horrible. :)

Lindsey Leavitt's one of those authors who writes cute, fun stories that you don't have to worry about content from. I think you'd like it :D
Just finished I Am Number FourCurrently Reading:
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Magic and Other Misdemeanors by Michael Buckley
Molly Moon's Hypnotic Time Travel Adventure by Georgia Byng
im reading the profecy of the sisters
i'm reading Pharoah by Jackie French for school and The Garden of the Purple Dragon by Carole Wilkinson
Right now I'm re-reading Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare while I wait for my books to come in from Chapters
The Thursday Next series is about a sort-of-alternate world where science, including time travel, is way more advanced. Shortly into the first book, Thursday finds out that it's possible to travel in and out of books, and in the first one, The Eyre Affair actually travels into Jane Eyre. They're really funny, and the "science" is incredible. The Nursery Crimes series is set in a place where nursery rhyme characters are real, and it's about Detective Jack Spratt and his assistant Mary Mary, whose job it is to deal with crimes related to nursery rhymes. Again, REALLY funny.
The funny thing is, at the end of the second Thursday Next book, she travels into one of the Nursery Crime books before it's published.
Jasper FfordeBoth series are really fun and make you think. Thursday Next is a little harder because its adult and the Nursery Crime series is YA, and the science gets complicated, but the science doesn't matter so you can skip it if you want.
He also wrote another YA book, Shades of Grey, which has nothing to do with the others. (It's in the future when everyone is colorblind-everyone can see white black and grey, and then some people can see one other color.) It's interesting.
Me either (mind reading adult books). I don't really believe in reading at a specific level. I just figured it was nice to know.Sci-fi books can be great, if they're not cliched. And whatever these may be, they're certainly not cliched. I really love them.
@ Haley-there are bad words in Thursday Next-she says s*** a fair amount of times. I've only read up to the second of that series, but there is some very clearly implied sex in the second, although it's not actually there. Nothing in the first though. The Nursery Crime series and Shades of Grey are YA, so there's no sex, and I don't believe there's cursing, but it's been a while, so I'm not sure.Amelia, they really are. Intellectual, funny, thought-provoking, action, mystery, and page-turning.
The Nursery Crimes ones sounds so interesting. I will put that on my tbr list. And the Shades of Grey one sounds amazing as well. TBR. Thanks Kate :)
You're welcome. I was really wondering if there were people to talk to about it, so I confess I had an ulterior motive.

I know it made a difference to me :D
I like him, He likes herits around 630 pages, and its three books in one. i got the second one which is 800 pages. You know the Alice series. Its inaprobiate (sorry if i spelled it wrong) It has r*ping but its still really good. its the 13-15th book and they are in 9th grade.

I loved the first one, but I didn't continue the series. They were going to make a movie for awhile, but I don't know what happened to those plans. PS - I think the fairies in ARTEMIS FOWL are the best fairies I've ever read. Eoin Colfer's my favorite fairy author!
No, that's not usually a reason for not making a movie. Several series films were made before the last one.I think I remember them saying that they wanted Freddie Highmore for Artemis, but he outgrew the part or something. I'll go look it up!
Okay! :) That's cool, I've started reading Artemis Fowl and i like them a lot. I wonder what the adaptation will be like....
A movie? That's awesome. I just finished reading it last night and my first thought was, "This would make a really great movie." Freddie Highmore is exactly how I pictured Artemis, too. He'd be perfect for the role!
Also, the fairies – Commander Root especially – were amazing. Such personalities!
Delirium was (in a word) AMAZING! It was unbelievable! Lauren Oliver is gifted. She has an amazing voice that shines through and makes her book(s) stick out from the crowd.Delirium was full of everything that makes a book great. A dynamic plot, character development that was believable and well-written, cliff-hangers (surprises), and unexpected twists. It was fabulous.

I just added a poll to my blog asking everyone which book should be included in April's reading list and most everyone is voting for Delirium. Now, hearing that praise, I hope it wins! :D

You should keep going. They're all really good.
I think if they do make a movie the actor is probably going to be (go to videos and click music videos then go to Complex Atlantis. The dude who is singing is the hired actor for the tours, music videos, and so on.)(http://artemisfowl.com/)
So. I'm reading the last Harry Potter, and I'm really close to becoming an official Pothead. It's hard, but I'm going to read this one slow. I want to read it really fast(and I could), but it'll just be... over. And I can't let that happen. I'm already on page 100... I know Imma cry when I finish it, just because it's done. Like I did Mockingjay. Spoiler
Hedwig?! That was terrbile. And Mad-Eye.... :(
I know! I couldn't believe it! HEDWIG!!!!!!!!Congratulations. If you actually manage to read it slowly, I'll be very impressed.

I kind of don't like series books anymore, and that one seems to go on forever. I think they're on like 6 now or something? Anyway, the first was the best. I love the Fairy Underworld :P
