Romance Readers Reading Challenges - March - Pick It For Me! Challenge

My recs from Harper:
"Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate #1)" by Gail Carriger - This was recommended to me last month and I really loved it! It’s a good combo of paranormal, mystery/suspense, romance, and steampunk. It was a very fun read.

"Bitten (Women of the Underworld #1)" by Kelley Armstrong - Paranormal, urban fantasy, romance

"Grave Sight (Harper Connelly #1)" by Charlaine Harris - Mystery/suspense, paranormal, some romance

"The Awakening (The Vampire Diaries #1)" by LJ Smith - Y/A, paranormal, romance. They recently re-released these books, so you can now get “The Awakening” in a duology with the second book, “The Struggle.” If you’ve seen the TV series on the WB, the books are different and much better, IMO.

"Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte - I didn’t see it on your shelves, but I did see a lot of Austen and “Wuthering Heights,” so I thought you might like it.

I plan on reading either Soulless by Gail Carriger or Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. I just gotta see which one the library has. Or maybe I'll read both...

Romance Readers Reading Challenges - FAC: Sherrilyn Kenyon (April 2010)

3/25/2010:
This is perfect timing because I'm doing the April challenge and all the books I picked are by Sherrilyn Kenyon! So, I'm an A because I absolutely love Sherrilyn. I'm gonna say Acheron for this challenge because it's my favorite book :)

3/31/2010:
Yz, can I still change my book? If so, I want to change mine from Acheron to Born of Night.

4/5/2010:
I finished Born of Night last night (4/4/2010). This was the second time that I've read the book, and while I still loved it, I was shocked to realize that, the first time around, I missed how much of a prissy, judgmental, condescending b*tch Kiara was. Nykyrian, of course, was fantastic, and all the other assassins were as amusing as ever. Also surprising to me was how similar BON was to Sherrilyn Kenyon's Acheron. There were many parallels between Nyk and Ash.

If you like books with romance and a bunch of action, this book is probably a good choice for you. There are a few interesting twists, and this book took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions so I highly recommend it.

After reading this book again, I still firmly remain in category A :)

Touch the Dark by Karen Chance I gave this 3 stars but I think based on your read list that you might enjoy this more than I did :)

Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton - I find this one of the best vampire series.
Wake by Lisa McMann -one of the best books I have read this year and based on your read list, I'm hoping you will too :)

I started and finished my first book, Wake by Lisa McMann, in 2.5 hours. Who's proud of me? It was so good that I stayed up until 3:15 A.M. so I could finish it.
