Hi Leslie. I added this to my "to read" book shelf. I am working on the fairytale retelling challenge as well, so hopefully I will get a chance to start and finish this one by the end of January. Thanks for sharing!

namericanwordcat | 591 comments Read Girl with the Cat Tattoo (Cool Cats, #1) by Theresa Weir Geek with the Cat Tattoo (Cool Cats, #2) by Theresa Weir loved both. Cute and clean.

Reading The Last Hour of Gann by R. Lee Smith It is Epic and stomping on my guts but it is also excellent.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Oh, dear. No gut stomping for me.

message 1759: by namericanwordcat (new)

namericanwordcat | 591 comments Yeah. LOL. I have about 10% left. Since I read the end first (I do that. It makes all that gut stomping bearable.) I know something awful is going to happen (again) before the HEA so I am just glaring at it. But like said its excellent.

message 1770: by Sonya (new)

Sonya Heaney I'm still going on three - it was Ukrainian Christmas this week, so I've been too busy to finish books!

Playing for Love at Deep Haven (Enchanted Places, Book 1) by Katy Regnery
Good so far.

Do or Die (Reluctant Heroes, #1) by Suzanne Brockmann
Exactly what you'd expect from Suzanne Brockmann (good!).

Unleashing Mr. Darcy by Teri Wilson
I actually don't think I fit into the target audience for this one. A lot of the book is about the heroine learning the differences between US and British culture and terminology. It would be more engaging if I hadn't grown up with British culture and terminology!

message 1771: by Leslie (new)

Leslie (chibilee02) @Stories&Verse - I recently finished reading For Every Solution, A Problem by Kerstin Gier and I really liked it. It was hilarious and had me laughing out loud. I do hope you get to read it in the future.

As for myself, yesterday I started Blood Brothers (Sign of Seven, #1) by Nora Roberts and Searching for Someday (Searching For, #1) by Jennifer Probst on my Kindle app.

I am ahead of schedule on the fairytale retelling challenge so I guess I can take a break.

Since I said I was going to read it, I decided to go ahead and read For Every Solution, A Problem . So far I made it through chapter one. So far it is just as you said, humor in every line - its funny because the characters don't even know they are being funny...

message 1773: by Sonya (new)

Sonya Heaney I'm already halfway through this book I just started: Must Love Dukes (Tricks of the Ton, #1) by Elizabeth Michels

Which must mean it's entertaining!

Dangerous in Diamonds (The Rarest Blooms, #4) by Madeline Hunter Unlacing Lady Thea (Harlequin Historical) by Louise Allen Unlacing Lady Thea

Though I am having a hard time keeping up with the quick pace, I am already on chapter 7.

Ugh! I should really KNOW better than to start a JF book on a Sunday evening when I have to get up for work in the morning. Finally forced myself to put it down some time after midnight, by which time I'd finished half the book. If I'd had today off, I probably would have stayed up all night reading it. :-\
