I really loved that book. I know a lot of ppl don't because of how it ends but I couldn't see it ending any other way.

message 457: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert I love it,too. I have my issues with the ending, but like you, I can't see it any other way either. And it certainly didn't keep it from being one of my favorites.

Bailey Bristol (baileybristol) | 2 comments I want to let you know about Donna Sturgeon's amazing debut novel MILLIE'S ROSE. It will make you weep and rejoice.

"With the weight of loss pressing heavy on his heart, Dan stands on the banks of Chelsea Lake, longing to slip under the surface of his grief and ease his pain forever. But like the brilliance of the sunrise penetrating the night-darkened waters, she reaches for him, her love gently unfolding the petals of his heart, guiding him back to life."

message 500: by Marijayne (new)

Marijayne Stegman (mjsquirrelgirl) Just finished Looking For Trouble Looking For Trouble by Erin Kern . cute book. looking forward to others in the series. Good hero. Heroine has some issues. I do sometimes get tired of the old gee I have this secret and even though I really am falling in love with person I don't want to tell them in case they decide they won't love me then. I'm with Debra Messings character in the wedding date, the time to tell someone your secret isn't after the ring is on your finger. So many romance novels are based on this kind of flawed trust thing. It bugs me. If you can't be up front with the person you love, who can you be up front with. Isn't that the whole idea?
(sorry didn't mean to rant, I actually liked the book, guess it just hit a nerve this morning!)
