I'm with you! I can't wait until April 5th! This series is amazing, and I can't wait to see what will happen next :)

I don't think there will ever truly be any words that can capture his essence. ^_-

Was this worth all the buzz that's out there? Or if you're re-reading it, was it just as good as you remembered it?

And I can see where they are coming from.
I'm curoius what were some of the sticky points for you Ceri?

There were many reasons why i hated the book Shera. I had read Clockwork Angel and thought the book was ok and because of all the buzz around the Mortal Instruments i thought i would give it a go. To be fair i didnt think it was my type of book, i enjoy romance and this book didnt contain any, i enjoy books focused more about the character, but this book was more focused on action. I thought the plot was careless and no sense of direction, seems like there were parts just thrown in which provided nothing or added any substance. It was barely desciptive and lacked feeling and emotion. I was so bored and kept putting the book to one side to read another book, it took me 3 months to read and i had finished reading 11 books inbetween. I love reading young adult and paranormal but this was nothing like anything i read before and i wouldnt want to read anything like it again. Overall Shera, i think it was just the entire book and how it was written, not just a few sticky points. Cassandra Clare isnt for me.
I am another underwhelmed reader of MI. i had read loads of fantastic quotes on FB groups, mostly from Jace and was expecting to love it but it just didn't grip me. I didn't enjoy the Jace/Clary dynamic, maybe I'm too much of a romance reader at heart. And the other characters didn't grip me. So I haven't read any of the others. I will admit the trailer for the movie looked great though I'm not sure on the casting for Jace.

Yes likewise, although i didnt enjoy the book i still would like to see the movie. I dont have high hopes for the movie as the director isnt someone i am familiar with so im not expecting it to be any good.

The book is a huge world wind of events and some of it doesn't seem important. (Though I do think quite a bit of it comes up later on in the series.)
It's always to hear other opinions! Personally I felt there was romance and a I liked it. (But I like crazy romance.)

What did you think of the Clockwork Angel series? I havent read Clockwork Prince yet, but i enjoyed the first book better than MI.

I have real all of this series so far. If you love them you should also read the other series that goes along with this. They all have Clockwork in the title of them. They are about the Infernal Instruments and Jace's ancestors. They are great too.

You really should try the books that go along with this series. They all have Clockwork in the title. They are kind of about Jace's ancestors. Magnus is in these books also and they are about the Infernal Instruments. I liked them a lot too.

Try the ones about the Infernal Devices. They all have Clockwork in the title and go along with these. They take place in an earlier era but Magnus is still in some of them.

I've got them sitting on my shelves. Maybe I'll get to them faster.

I think I may be in the same boat. I heard all these great reviews and now that I am halfway through I am not sure about the book. It's entertaining enough, but I'm not loving it. :(

How should I put it? Clary could jump of a bridge right now and I would barely notice.
Oh, well. I'll keep trudging.

Also an email will being going out with a link to whether or not members want to coninue on reading this series or not!
