For you audio book ppl, Molly Quinn is narrating again. Clare just announced it. She's the daughter in Castle.

Okay, I'm going to read the fifth book in a week or so. Anyone remember what happened in book 4? I remember book 1 and bits of 3, but then it all gets hazy.

No. I checked it out from the library and then stared at it for a few weeks. Never picked it up to read.
A few differences from what I remember. (It's been 4 years...) I had fun with it. The person I watched it had fun. There's the moment or two of cheesy, but it didn't seem to reach Twilight cheesy. I like Magnus' eyeliner. =)

I really need to pick this series back up and see what's going on. My problem is, she planned on it being a trilogy so I felt like it all ended and then she added more once I was mentally done with the series.

Clockwork princess is the last book in Cassandra Clares Infernal Devices trilogy .I actually went to a signing for the first two books she was awesome.

Heather, I felt book 4 was kinda blah and this made me very nervous to continue, but I completely fell back in love with the series with book 5. So Happy I continued. I also LOVE the Infernal devices series, it was so so good and she completely tied the two series together. If you liked the first 3 TMI then I highly recommend the rest of the books. :)
My biggest problem is that I didn't expect to have the book 4 so I kind of forgot a lot of details from the first 3 books I should have remembered. It made book 4 hard to follow since things didn't fit in my head.

But seriously. Who are these people?

I feel like I'm being back door piloted. I just want to focus on the kids I've been reading about for the past 6 years!

Tya, that's my problem with this series. I remember I had fun reading them, but can't for the life of me remember who anyone but the major characters are.

Now I have to decide to read Clockwork Angel or City of Fallen Angels next. Any suggestions? I've read somewhere that it was intended to read them in release order, which after the 3rd MI means back and forth between the two series.

Also. I don't like Maia. I've never liked Maia. So, I skipped all of her scenes. I kind of thought the end was a bit of a cop-out. A part of me wants the ending to have been (view spoiler) But, I think I would have been just as annoyed (or something) with that ending as I am with this one. So. Its over! Yay! Oh and (view spoiler)

I read City of Lost Souls when it first came out and I can honestly say that I haven't the foggiest of clues as to what the heck happened--and that was my opinion as I was reading it and when I finished it. By the end there it really seemed like she was just throwing crap in the book to make it reach a certain length even though nothing made sense at all. I don't know how she's milked yet another series out of this same premise! Not to mention all of the novellas and anthologies with other writers contributing to the MI world.
I read the Magnus Bane book (listened to it on audio) and I was so annoyed. I know that Magnus has lived a super long life and that he's obviously had a lot happen to him before he met Simon, but the blurbs on the book and the cover made it seem like there would be more Simon than there actually was. I found that I was skipping entire stories because I just did.not.care.

I think I'm partially annoyed with the books themselves and partially annoyed with the fandom. I think they know its bad but just don't want to admit it. I've watched and read many reviews and it's impossible that not one reviewer talks about any of the problems I noticed with the books. I think that's really strange. For example Jocelyn's whole attitude was so disgusting in this book. Clary is a selfish person who only cares about people as they matter to her it's all about what she wants and she doesn't care how it affects that person or others that they have to come into contact with. She's that one person who is over-confident in their abilities and thinks they're the smartest thing in the world and is the very opposite she is the one person that always goes into a situation half-cocked and gets everyone else killed for trying to save her stupid butt. And there is another random couple who I don't care enough about to remember their names. why are they in this stupid book?
A few months ago I got rid of all of my Vampire Academy books and the spin-offs and Clares books will soon follow.

I'm a little worried that Clare even mentioned that she might break her own rules with the magic and stuff . . . I hate rule breakers. Don't make a setup if you can't stick to it.

I've never seen frozen but I don't need to as I have been brainwashed by Disney all the same Clare just needs to Let It Go. I'm willing to give other books a chance as well especially if there is more Simon the only character that is worth anything to me at least but I despise spoilers so I have to finish the TMI series first. I do feel a bit like an enabler. I would like to see her write in a new world however as long as she is still selling out the wazoo by writing more Shadowhunter stuff, why would she?

I am curious to read other worlds by her. I have her middle grade stuff, but haven't tried it yet.

I can't quite remember but there were a couple warlock a that were killed. One right away while Valentine brought forth a demon and one that had the book Magnus wanted in the city. They went to his house in the last one, maybe that is what you are thinking of? (hide spoiler)]
There's a lot I don't remember.
