The Harry Potter books where the only ones that I've ever encountered that were guaranteed to be there on your doorstep the day of. I think it's too hard for companies to promise that kind of delivery. They have to only release them on the release date so I can understand only being able to ship them the day it's released.
My copy was shipped today and I expect it thrusday or Friday. Courtsey of free shipping.
Go Lacy!!Just checked borders and my copy will be here on July 8th. Personally I think that is super fast for free shipping. If only I could read it right away, I still have one ACR to get through and I'm pretty sure I'll be reading CWA first.
Oops. I did mean April 8th. I was just scheduling something for July and my mind transfered the month over. That would be terrible shipping, even I wouldn't go for free shipping that slow. ^_-
You don't HAVE to reread, but there are something that get touched on and for me I was going "OH YEAH! I forgot all about that" and my mind would wander for a moment and then I'd get back on track. Clare does a good job of feeding you bits of info you may have forgotten. And reading Clockwork Angel prior to this one...SO worth it. Otherwise names are dropped and you'll be going...uh..who...what...huh?
Grrr they are selling it for a really good price at my job and I wanted to buy it yesterday then I remembered i needed gas :(. so I have to wait till thursday when we get paid. SIGH!
The letter thing in special edition is awesome! I haven't read it yet, but the seal and handwriting are so cool! :)I'm going to wait till mid-May to read it so I can focus on my APs and SATs. I want to read it and not be stressed out about tests.
If you ordered it from B&N. It's called "City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments Series #4) Exclusive Edition".
I broke down and got it from my job but i just found out one of my coworkers is just now getting on the series and is just as obsessed as me so i may read it and give her this copy and order the Exclusive.
Awee. :( We talked about it a lot on here, I guess it was a different thread. :( Maybe the "I just bought. . ." one.
Honestly, I don't remember it being talked about either. I'm almost wondering if it was in a different group.
Hmmmm . . . Oh, well. Borders suddenly had them avaible for 9.95, and then the site went down. My sister was trying to buy it and they told her to wait 4 hrs to order it. Safe to say they were all sold out. I feel betrayed by Borders, I pre-ordered the book with them on good faith that they would have the best deal. Starting to think I might want to switch over to Barnes and Nobles.
Amazon will adjust the price on you if it gets cheaper from the time you pre-order until it's released. It's kind of nice. Every now and then I get 1-3 dollars back.
I read city of glass, ashes and bones and loved them all. I expected to love clockwork angel just as much, but even though it wasn't definitely good and griping with an interesting twist, the romance was a bit of a down. I look forward to the next one however as I think it will become more developed.

Heather wrote: "Crap, I just clicked on the spoiler not even thinking about what book this was for."oops im so sorry I havent really had any rest and it totally slipped my mind that this is a series discussion. :( i shall change it now.
Heather wrote: "Crap, I just clicked on the spoiler not even thinking about what book this was for."BY THE WAY IM NOT SURE IF THATS WHAT REALLY JUST HAPPENED CLARE IS DOING THE SWITCHING SCENES EVERY FEW PARAGRAPHS THING KINDA LIKE THE STORIES THAT COME ON INTHE AFTERNOON LOL.
Haha. I new that it had to be for the new book, but I just didn't even think about the fact that I haven't even it yet. It didn't click in my mind for some reason.
Haha. I keep meaning to get to it, but books keep pooring in. I feel overwhelmed and I don't know why since I can easily read them before they're due. 13 are out. I have 13 days until the first one is due. Why on earth am I panicing? I do this anytime my number is between 8 and 30. But, if I drop under 8 then the weekend comes and I end up bookless.
I think it's due date fear syndrome. Anytime I check out books from the library I feel overwhelmed. Probably because I'm so used to owning the books I read. The due dates feel like a trap, and I never read them until it's time to return them. ^_-Maybe I'm just the only.
haha i have a bad habit of checking out 20 or so books from the library then also buying my favs and reading those and then not getting to the library books. My library also has a bad habit of trying to charge me for books that I've turned in months and months ago smh. So many knew books are coming out right now it is a bit overwhelming .
There are a lot of new books out that are good right now. I have 14 books out from the library right now and it's my most ever! But 10 of them I picked up today and aren;t due back until 5/13. The other 4 I still have lots of time on too...and they are mostly YA so easy to read. Sadly the new book for this series is not one of them.
FINISHED, OVER ALL I THINK IT WAS A GOOD READ ALTHOUGH THE OVER ALL PLOT WAS A BIT DISTURBING TO ME I THINK IT WILL BE DISTURBING TO ALOT OF OTHER READERS FOR THE SAME REASON. (view spoiler) i will read on to the next few books to see if they succeed in undoing this.
I'm having the hardest time getting in to this newest book. I was always kind of 'meh' on Simon so...that hasn't really changed and I never cared one way or another for that werewolf girl who I hear is a part of this one. So...sometimes being loyal to an author bites.

Jace went to Jamie Campbell Bower (I think that is his name). I think he is a good actor, but I am used to him as Arthur now from Camelot and he is kind a of wuss in that. I hear he can do great kick-ass though, so I guess I will just have to wait an see.
I am hoping we might get to see him a bit as Grindlewald in Deathly Hallows since he has that arrogant-better-than-everybody attitude like Jace. I have no idea if we will get to see him in the movie though, or if it will just be flashes. Cassie said she cried when she saw his and Lily's audition tape, so that is promising. She basically said they had real chemistry together and he did everything just like Jace. Here's her interview: http://hollywoodcrush.mtv.com/2011/06...
It makes me feel much better knowing that both Cassie and Lily think he is perfect for Jace.
Um, wow. That isn't the DSAS though. It is a scene from book 5 I believe. So watch out for spoilers. I am trying to figure out what's going on in the scene.
I so read that wrong and you are right Carrie. I don't know if counts as a spoiler. If the author thought it was bad to read before the book came out, I'd assume she'd release the unedited version after the book had been out for a while.Going back to correct my original post though.
I know she posted an alternate version of the Jace/Clary scene outside the manor in CoG from Jace's POV. I have been holding off reading it for a while. I don't know why, I just feel like I am saving it. Here is is: http://cassandraclare.livejournal.com...
Um, wow-za!! I forgot about those extra scenes. I didn't want to read them until I was all caught up. *fans self*
I don't remember who the bad guy was in the end. Anyone remember? Please "spoiler" it so no one that hasn't finished sees it.
Also, (view spoiler) does anyone remember who and what the deal was there? After book 1 I don't remember much.

I think it was book 3. I'm not sure because I remember nothing at all from book 4. They were in the Nephilim city.
I tell you in advance, I reserve the right to be wrong. I think I spent the last book a bit confused. (view spoiler)
