Duchess Nicole | 154 comments Reading Sins of the Heart (Otherkin, #1) by Eve Silver and finishing it tonight. I'm actually pretty impressed so far. Original storyline and kick ass H/h. Trying to psych myself out for Fifty Shades Freed (Fifty Shades, #3) by E.L. James . I'm scared to read it. Don't know why. Maybe Christian intimidates me. Or maybe its the depression I know is coming when its over!

Teresa | 27 comments I'm reading Touch Me (Awesome Foursome, #3) by Susan Lyons - the hero is sweet, but he's no alpha. Next is Fade To Midnight (McClouds & Friends, #7) by Shannon McKenna ...hero isn't alpha, either. I'm on a beta-guy-spree :D.

I haven't read them yet. I could tell that I would love the series sooo much that I'd be ridiculously anxious about the last one coming out this year. So I decided to wait for a couple of months. The next two are sitting on my nook, though! Have you read them?

Oh, I agree Carolyn...Although I enjoyed Justice's book the best so far.....Valiant was just a big teddy bear on the inside and so needing some love. In Slade's book I think it is where he is talking to Tyger and he says, I think I want a mate so I can sit and have good conversations and cuddle...and I'll be good to her and take good care of her....or something like that. And I was like Awwww....thinking he is to fierce. And then you read how he was shunned while in captivity....my heart broke for him. But what a sweetie!

Tamara Witika | 21 comments Read The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa and The Iron Daughter (Iron Fey, #2) by Julie Kagawa over wknd and have started the House of Night series, knocked over Marked (House of Night, #1) by P.C. Cast , Betrayed (House of Night, #2) by P.C. Cast and half way through Chosen (House of Night, #3) by P.C. Cast
I like that Zoey is Indigenous (her granma's people are Cherokee) and that she is a fledgling vampire and not the default supernatural which seems in fiction is werewolf/ shifter if you are Indigenous.

I've only read the first book in the Fever series. Some elements are similiar but not so much so that I would compare the two. In Shadow Reader she really does a unique take on the Fae. I admit had I read more of the books in the Fever series I might be able to answer better.

I hadn't heard about this series being like Fever, that makes me want to read it even more

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 152 comments It's just that I was browsing through the reviews and one was yapping about the main characters having the same type of abilities and her name was almost the same as Mac from the Fever series. I did not read further so cannot say if the reviewer was accusing the author of copying an existing story or anything. I figured I would read it some other time and judge it for myself.

message 4445: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 10 comments No the two characters are nothing alike. Yes they both can see the Fae but their abilities really are not the same

I am so glad you enjoyed it. Alot of people I have recommend it to have not wanted to read it. Another very emotional book (This one with a strong male) who screwed up and is trying to fix his life is: Take This Regret by Amy Lichtenhan this had me crying and the ending is so incredibly wonderful....it is worth a try. And by that same author: Pulled by Amy Lichtenhan
