Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments **sigh** finished Texas Destiny (Texas Trilogy, #1) by Lorraine Heath and loved it so much! Although I did wonder how Ms Heath was going to write a HEA out of the mess, lol.. (view spoiler) Looking forwards to reading the next two!

After TD, reread Educating Caroline by Patricia Cabot , which is such a fun read!
Oh, and finished listening to The Arctic Incident (Artemis Fowl, #2) by Eoin Colfer

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Today, I read Dearly Beloved (Signet Regency Romance) by Mary Jo Putney , which was enjoyable (4*), but not lighthearted enough (no humor at all!) for my tastes.. (I wrote a review)

Also just finished Boss Man (Long, Tall Texans) (Silhouette Desire #1688) by Diana Palmer , a contemporary western.. 3*

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Melanie, I also wondered if it was going to happen, but I loved the story! So, so much. Talk about a scarred and tormented hero!

La La | 132 comments I just finished reading Pleasure Me by Monica Burns and Kismet by Monica Burns and really didn't care for them. I read Monica Burns Scasi series and I now realize I don't care for her writing. The historical were really boring. Now I'm reading Darkfire Kiss (Dragonfire #6) by Deborah Cooke . I can't wait. I've been waiting for Rafferty story for quite some time.

Are you finding it a bit difficult to read also? The Darkest Lie is probably the worst book of the LOTU series to date. I am hoping to gain momentum on it. I've breezed through all the others so far...almost ready to skip this one?!?!

Tell me, does it get good?

If you liked Devil's Bride, skip to
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/71... (Scandal's Bride)

I've read most of the series, and this is one of my favorites. Check it out. I also liked the twin's stories.

No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #3) by Kresley Cole was so sexy. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Any questions about the rest of her books...and I am ready to chat.

message 3460: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Leanne - The Darkest Lie was also my least favorite book in the series.. But if I recall, I did end up enjoying it! And The Darkest Secret is amazing!

They do.

Still, my favorite is Demon From The Dark (Carrow and Malkom's story). The raw, untamed sexuality of this Demon/Vampire and Witch encounter blows my top!

These look so good, but is there any romance involved? I have to have at least some lol!

Melanie, thanks! I'll get back into it tonight. I already downloaded The Darkest Secretand will read it after.

I've been taking a bread to read Dark Prince Author's Cut Special Edition. I can't imagine reading the original book without the extra 100 pages. ' Love this series, too. I've been alternating until Kresley Cole or Gena Showalter comes out with a new book.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Darcy, I liked Dare in book 1 and I'm loving Trace in book 2, but I didn't care for Molly in book 1. For all she had been through, she sure didn't act the way I would have expected. I don't require simpering and weak, but wow... she was almost more alpha than Dare. Priss is ok so far, but I'm only 33% of the way in.

I liked Molly, for me her reaction was one where she needed to get back control of her life.

I look forward to seeing what your thoughts are of Priss.

CassieCruel (faith_isola) | 21 comments I am now addicted to the series I will be reading number 5 once I get it lol

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Darcy -

Priss was more believable as a heroine than Molly, in my opinion, but still her whole attitude was just... "meh" but sometimes funny.

It might be that Lori Foster doesn't write heroines that I like, but I know she's got a popular following.

I am glad you liked her more than me. It drove me nuts how she could be both smart and still tstl at the same time.

What did you think about the ending? I have the next book and can't wait to check it out. I have a feeling that Jackson might be a little to alpha and over the top for me.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish See, I enjoy alpha males, in fact, I love reading Cherise Sinclair's BDSM series because I enjoy reading Dom heroes, either in the bedroom or in RS series.

I was good with the story until the end when yes, Priss became WTSTL!!! I don't like heroines who would get in the way and risk their man just out of stubbornness.

I enjoyed the epilogue with Alani and Jackson, but I'm kind of confused because I started Jackson's book this morning and it must take place a bit in the future. Granted, I didn't get far, so I might be way off base.

I didn't care for how Jackson talked to Alani at the end. I normally like alpha men, but he was rude.

I will probably start this one tomorrow.

And see, it just sounded like a sexually dominant male to me, and I love them! Got me all warm and fuzzy! LOL

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Savor the Danger (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor, #3) by Lori Foster though I'll probably wait until tomorrow to read some more. Cherise Sinclair's newest book came out today! WOOT!

It's gonna have me "tied up" for a while! LOL

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Darcy wrote: "I will have to check out Sinclair at some time, you know when my tbr is getting low. lol"

LOL!! She's an auto buy ... my ONLY auto buy erotic author. Doesn't matter what I'm reading. When one of her books comes out, it goes straight to the top!

message 3482: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments I usually get my books from the library and sadly they don't carry her. They do carry quite a bit of erotica, but not her. I'll have to check some other places.

message 3483: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Dhes -- are those Lori Foster books all out or are you reading an ARC again??

And you reminded me I need to get Cherise Sinclair's other books (only read the first two and loved them!)

Read How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf (Naked Werewolf, #1) by Molly Harper last night and loved it.. So funny!!

And just finished a HR, An Improper Proposal by Patricia Cabot , which I also loved.. I really enjoy Patricia/Meg Cabot: the fact that her heroine and hero figure out early on that they love each other and don't go through all the usual jealousy and angst is a refreshing change from most HRs(not to say I don't enjoy that either, it's just nice to change every so often!):-D 4.5*

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Yep, like Darcy said, they are ARCs!

Melanie. MELANIE! You have to catch up with Cherise Sinclair's series so you can read Make Me, Sir (Masters of the Shadowlands, #5) by Cherise Sinclair It. Was. Amazing!

That's hard, they are both amazing series! Hunger Games is def heavier reads.

Reading The Chase (Fast Track, #4) by Erin McCarthy by Erin McCarthy and loving it! Didn't think I would get into it as much as I am.

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Finished When You Dare (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor, #1) by Lori Foster yesterday.. Fun read: 3.5 - 4* :-D

message 3494: by La La (new)

La La | 132 comments Just finished Darkfire Kiss (Dragonfire #6) by Deborah Cooke and it was really good. I was a litte confused at the end regarding the Wyvern. Also Deborah Cooke gives an excerpt from her YA book about the children of the Pyr the main character being Zoe and her journey. It sounds interesting even though I'm not a huge fan of YA.

Now I have to think about what I should read next. I don't know if I want to PNR or go for some historical romance. I'm thinking Seven Nights to Forever by Evangeline Collins . I loved her first book.

message 3497: by La La (new)

La La | 132 comments I've decided to go with Seven Nights to Forever by Evangeline Collins and I'm really enjoying it. I already had a choke up moment.

message 3498: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Finished First Impressions by Debra White Smith ... I actually liked the first half better. It was cute though, just a little preachy at times, and I kind of wish there had been more sexual tension (although both these "issues" are kind of mutually exclusive I guess, lol), so 3* for me:-)

I think I'm going to go ahead and head to bed while listening to The Hobbit.. And maybe go ahead and choose a book to read in the morning:-D
