UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish OOoooh, Erinaceina, I loved Breaking Point and A Rush of Wings. I'm not big on Urban Fantasy, but Dante just does it for me!

I'm not usually a big fan either, but I've been recently ensnared by the Night Huntress world, especially Bones, so I'm in the mood to give the genre another go. I'm trying to persuade myself that I have to finish both 'Blue-Eyed Devil' and 'Queen of Shadows' before I start the other two, but they're both so tempting... 'A Rush of Wings' is sitting in my TBR crate under my desk right now and I could just reach over and pick it up... *sigh*

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I like books, especially first in the series, that aren't too full of world building. I like that in small doses whenever possible, and A Rush of Wings is like that, if I remember right. Not too many characters to remember, not too much world building going on... so that was a big plus for me!

I own, but haven't read, both BED and QoS. I have to be in the mood before I pick them up.

Queen of Shadows was 5 stars for me....love that book! I am literally dying to get my hands on Breaking Point this afternoon!

Yay! All Demonica books had great stories. Can't wait to know your thought about Sin Undone (Demonica, #5) by Larissa Ione . This book left me gasping, and I can't believe that Demonica is over *lol*

I'm so envy with people that have Breaking Point (I-Team, #5) by Pamela Clare :(
I want to read it so bad...

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Ren, I'm only on page 75 of Sin Undone, but I'm loving it more than any of the others. So far it's an easier read... maybe because I'm recalling the demons and their status' since I just finished Ecstasy Unveiled. The others I read months apart, so nothing was fresh in my mind.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish And oh, you'll have Breaking Point before you know it! I'll be envying you getting to read it for the first time!

Still listening to Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater on audio for my book club. This is one of the best YA books I have read in a long time.

Think I will do a re-read of And One Last Thing ... by Molly Harper ! This is one of the funniest books ever:D

Dangit. Ok I'm not reading it now. It's time to pull out the big guns. Save me Jamie Frasier from my Chloe Neill induced depression. Bring on the Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon .

Sorry Jennifer! Perhaps you would interpret the story arc a bit differently? There's a lot happening in the book, but no real progress is made (in my opinion). I'm just not happy with the way I suspect the story is unfolding. Although it would depend on who you are rooting for!

A GR friend went to a signing with her last night and she let us know that the author said 2-3 more.

I read this one last night too. I thought it was much better than the last, what did you think?

*****Spoiler Alert*******

The last two books were my least favourite in the series. Dead Reckoning was better from a plot point of view, but I feel that both portray Eric in an increasingly negative light. Almost as if she's setting Bill up as the HEA. And I love Eric! Or do you think it's just to get us to keep guessing? Clever marketing!

Any one finish it yet? Better or worse than the previous book? Any naked Eric? lol

I have a feeling it's leaning towards Bill as the HEA guy. I hate Bill. He's a douchebag. Hate him. I'll wait to read it til I have nothing else in my stack.

The Heat (The Big Bad Wolf, #1) by Heather Killough-Walden was ok.. There really wasn't enough romance for me. The H/h were barely together in the book. She kept being kidnapped he kept having to find and rescue her. I did like the werewolves a lot and I will probably read the next one. I just generally prefer when reading romance that the hero and heroine aren't separated most of the book.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Laura, the Black Dagger Brotherhood series just gets better and better. I thought book 1 was pretty amazing considering all the world building and character introduction that had to be done.

message 3387: by Laura (new)

Laura Carson (laurarcarson) | 40 comments That is encouraging! I wouldn't say it was a bad book. Just took me about half of the book to start feeling something for it. By then, it really picked up and I liked it. I would definatley reccomend it. I think part of me shied away from the series since it changed main characters and POV's so much. However, the books so far seem to flow well, and pick up where the other one left off. I think I will definatley be a fan by the time I am done!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I hope you continue loving it! JR Ward is one of my VERY few auto buy authors and the BDB is my favorite PNR series, hands down!

There's a great group here - Black Dagger Brotherhood

We all ooooh, ahhhh, and obsess over the Brothers! We'd love to have you join in the discussions there!

I had the same prob. with the first, I tried reading it at three differnt times (the only reason I kept giving it another try was everyone kept going on about how great it was) but about halfway thru, I was loving it, and by Rhages book I was hooked! They just get better and better:) (though Rhage is still my fav.)

Now I'm reading Darker Than Night by Kim Lenox ,which just like the other book, starts out slow but picks up towards the middle. I was going to read Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1) by Stacia Kane but now I think I want to read a contemporary or a historical romance. I have to look and see what I have. Maybe I'll read Sweet as the Devil by Susan Johnson .

Gem, I've only paid $5.50 for the books. This is it for now, I have to get rid of a lot of books. Put a big dent in my books, before I buy some more. A co-worker of mine gave me a lot of books too in the last two weeks. I haven't added them yet. Maybe by Saturday I will.
