Heather Bree (blackdotbug) I'm assistant director of a state-wide 5-12th grade science fair and it's in two weeks. I've spent the last three weeks traveling around to regional fairs and doing award data entry on a web-based system I programmed over the summer. I totally bailed on the last WT reading challenge and it feels like it takes forever to get through a book. But I'm good. You? :)

Brenda (librarymom23) I am in the middle of moving my family to a new home. My reading time has gone down majorly.

message 7: by Sara ♥ (new)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 719 comments Thanks all! It's still pretty weird, because we all thought it was a boy. (Based partially on nothing and partially on how easy my pregnancy has been so far...) So it's taking some mental adjusting, but we're really excited!

message 8: by Brenda (new)

Brenda (librarymom23) Best wishes Sara.

message 9: by Kellee (new)

Kellee Moye (kelleemoye) IS anyone else having trouble with their "add book/author" button? Mine isn't working :(

message 10: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) Kellee, I am having trouble also. When I click on 'add book/author' the system takes me to the top of this page.

message 11: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) Sara, Congratulations on having a new baby!

Okay, so it is not just me... :)
Thanks.
That's exactly what happens to me.

message 13: by Amy (new)

Amy Congrats Sara! My boys just turned four and I'm missing the baby years terribly!

message 14: by Heather (new)

Heather Bree (blackdotbug) Just got back from Intel International Science and Engingeering Fair with 41 high school students and we cleaned house! Kids in our group won more awards than any other state or other country at the competition.

message 15: by Heather (new)

Heather Bree (blackdotbug) No! It is not pouring down rain on the day I'm going to Lilith Fair! No! No! No!

message 19: by Kellee (new)

Kellee Moye (kelleemoye) Me? I'm watching baseball and reading a book simultaneously. You?

Yes- WT is pretty awesome, huh?

message 20: by Angela Sunshine (new)

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) Don't lurk, join in!! We're doing fun stuff here!

*waves book challenge temptingly*

Emma Blue (litlover) | 234 comments Kellee: WOOT MULITASKING. I totally approve.

Angela: I used to be a pretty involved member of TNBBC and WT. Then blogging happened. *stares at book challenge* OO. WANT.

message 22: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cherylllr) Ok, Sara's big and hot and tired by now I bet... hope we get an update as she feels up to it!

message 23: by Sara ♥ (new)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 719 comments You talking about me? I am HUGE—I mean, I knew that your belly got big during pregnancy, but it's RIDICULOUS! I think little Ava will come out as soon as she figures out she's gotta stop fighting gravity... She keeps trying to escape Alien-style through my side! It's just not gonna work, honey! ;) I'm due in 11-13 days (depending on which due date you want to go with)...

message 24: by Amy (new)

Amy Well due dates are never exact anyway. My boys came way early (but I'm petite and I was carrying twins). Hang in there.

message 25: by Sara ♥ (new)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 719 comments Well, I do hope she comes soon... My pelvis is getting pretty sore and while I love walking like a newborn giraffe.... and I'm DYING to be able to lie on my stomach again!

message 26: by Amy (new)

Amy Funny the things you miss huh? For the longest time I missed zippers on pants.

And mine all had to be induced because they were happy and cozy inside my belly. I've always wondered what it would be like to have my water break or count contractions and then rush off to the hospital.

Donna (dfiggz) | 1332 comments Hey Sara. Congrats! I had 2 baby girls and we thought for sure that the second was a boy and no one could give us def asnwer because she kept her legs crossed! Both pregnancies were good until I pulled into the 5th week and then all hell broke lose but it is def worth it. I love them girls!!! BTW they are 15 months apart and now they are 1 and 2.

The first was an emergecy c-section and the second was a planned one. I always wanted to know what is would be like to do it natural! C-sections are horrible (well for me at least - my sis thought it was great)

message 31: by Amy (new)

Amy It's not a fun thing rushing to the hospital that's for sure. My water broke and I didn't even think that's what it was until my mom and my dr (over the phone of course) told me I was in labor. I ended up having a c section because one baby was head up, the other was head down and the dr didn't want to move anyone around since I was only 32 weeks, 6 days. I didn't think the c section was terrible. Couldn't sleep laying down for six weeks, or cough or laugh, but not as bad as I was expecting.

message 32: by Donna (new)

Donna (dfiggz) | 1332 comments Well, my first one was really bad. It was an emergency so I was knocked out and I couldn't stand straight for 3 months. The second was easier just because it was planned. I was up and back to myself fairly quickly but I was terrified during it all because I was awake! That was freaky. But suoer quick!

message 33: by Sara ♥ (new)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 719 comments My pregnancy has been REALLY EASY. Just some heartburn.... and that's really it. I HOPE she decides to come on her own—I really don't want to have to be induced!

message 34: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cherylllr) Seems like lots of women get induced these days. But as you know, the most important part is the bundle of joy in your arms - her purple wrinkled face will be so beautiful the what-ifs and the pain won't matter in comparison.

message 35: by Angela Sunshine (new)

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) And once she's out, your contractions stop and the pain is done. Hurray!!
