March Challenge

That said, I hope you enjoy the books!

Thanks, Lenore, but I'm actually living in Dubai right now. I have read Full Moon Rising and others in that series - think I burnt out on it about book 4 - but I am toying with a re-read but probably not for this challenge. I read the first book in her Damask Circle series a week or so ago so I might continue on with the next one for March :)

I'm expecting to love First Drop of Crimson (Frost is one of my new favorite authors). The other two could go either way - I like True Blood, but shows are always different from the books, and Hamilton's books haven't done much for me so far (although I'm 1/3 of the way through Circus of the Damned, and it's better than the first two).
Fantasy Lover is kind of a guilty pleasure for me - I've read it so many times that I almost have it memorized. It's definitely different from the rest of Kenyon's books, but it's very cute.
Rosemary and Rue was great! McGuire did some great world-building, and I can't wait to start book two. One of the best parts for me was that the main character wasn't overconfident, as most UF protags seem to be these days.

I'm Done!

I liked it alot. Some parts make me want to beat in Bianca's head but that happened in Evernight as well and I like that one too. I think Gray is going to do some interesting things with the rest of the series which make me excited :-)

I just hit the used bookstore with my 6 year old daughter today and guess what I was able to trade for?
The first two combined volumes of Vampire Diaries.
They were the equivalent of eight U.S. dollars each which by Tokyo standards is very reasonable. I ordered Nightworld off Amazon last year (three volumes) and paid a lot more for it. I have seriously been meaning to get to it. I've heard the female characters are much stronger in Nightworld than Vampire Diaries so I'll probably like it better. That said, I saw a couple episodes of the TV show and Ian Sommerhalder is pretty darned hot.
