New Series To Be Published
Trine, I haven't heard anything about the series, other than it is being published. I already have it down as one to buy though! Love finding new stuff out there to read :) And, welcome to the group! Glad to have you with us :)
I hope the Cupcake Bakery Mystery is good. I've read the decoupage series she has, under the name Lucy Lawrence and I wasn't that crazy about it. I have it on my list to buy though. Fingers crossed :)
Let's hope it's a good series. :-) I've read the first Decoupage Mystery, and I'm considering reading the next one, too - just to see what happens in the series.
Any particular reason you didn't like the first one, Kelley?
Trine, To be honest, it's been a while since I've read it, so my memory is shaky on why I didn't enjoy it. It might have been the writing style, or it might have been I was able to figure out who did it soon after the crime was committed. Anytime I can figure it out within pages of the murder I tend to not read more in the series. I think it was a pretty wasy one to figure out.

I've had this one on order for awhile. I've also ordered the Farmer's Market mystery.
On my Amazon Wish List are:Killer Plot-A Books by the Bay series (JB already mentioned)
Glazed Murder-A Donut Shop Mystery (comes out end of March)
Grace Under Pressure-A Manor of Murder Mystery series
Hope that helps!

I've had GLAZED MURDER on order for awhile. I like Julie Hyzy's White House chef series, but the Manor book doesn't sound like something I'd like.
I have all of the mentioned booked on my new series wish list too! I can't wait for them all to come out! Also on my list- The Long Quiche Goodbye- a cheese shop mystery- sounds fun!
Oops I forgot to mention this one:A Timely Vision (a missing pieces mystery) by Joyce & Jim Lavene
Haven't read any of their books in the past but this one looks intriguing
Here's another Delicious and Suspicious by Riley Adams. It comes out in July and is the first in a new Memphis Barbecue series.
Trine wrote: "Thanks, Melodie. :-) First time I've heard of this series."I found this on a website I stumbled upon by accident. It's www.mysteryloverskitchen.com.
Another new one coming out is Night of the Living Deed (A Haunted Guesthouse Mystery) by E.J. Copperman.I'm waiting until March 2nd so I can download Sprinkle with Murder (Cupcake Mystery) and Pretty in Ink by Karen E. Olson on my Nook.
I just looked up Night of the Living Deed and found out it's written by Jeffrey Cohen who has written It Happened One Knife et al. Thank you for posting this one, because I love those books and I can't wait to see what he has written under this new name!
Kelley, I haven't read his movie theater series yet but maybe I'll get the first book and see what I think. But am looking forward to his new series.

Was reading a newletter from my library and saw two new mystery series that I don't think have been mentioned beforeWhile My Pretty One Knits by Anne Canadeo
Is one small Massachusetts town big enough for two knitting shops? After Amanda Goran, owner of the Knitting Nest, is killed, this question has the police considering rival knitting-shop owner Maggie Messina as a suspect. Thankfully for Maggie, the loyal friends in her close-knit knitting group band together to prove her innocence--but can they do it? And will their friendship survive? This first book in a new series is "a charmer" (Publishers Weekly); and the second, Knit, Purl, Die, was recently published.
The Lover's Knot: A Someday Quilts Mystery by Clare O'Donohue
As she’s packing up her New York City apartment in anticipation of life as a married woman, Nell Fitzgerald is overjoyed to receive a handmade "lover’s knot" quilt as an engagement gift from her grandmother. But Nell’s life starts to unravel when her fiancé abruptly calls off the wedding. Seeking refuge, Nell goes to see her grandmother, who owns a quilt shop in picturesque Archers Rest, New York. While there, Nell enjoys the attentions of local handyman--and flirt--Marc Reed. That is, until Marc is found dead in her grandmother’s shop. This is the first in a series.
Denise, I have read The Lover's Knot and it was very good. The second in the series, A Drunkard's Path: A Someday Quilts Mystery wasn't as good, but still worth reading. I also tried reading While my Pretty One Knits, but couldn't get into it. I think there is a 2nd one in that series as well. Or possibly even more.

Thanks for the update, Denise. :-) They both sound like interesting reads.

Very true, Denise. :-) The different themes and learning new things about various topics are some of the best things about reading cozy mysteries.

I'm new to this group. :D
I just read on http://www.paigeshelton.com/ that she's starting a new series later this year called A Farmer's Market Mystery.
Has anyone heard about this series?
Happy Reading!
Trine :-)
