What don't you miss, either big or small?
I don't miss my CD player. I resisted the move to digital music for so long, but now that I've converted it seems hard to believe I ever toted around such cumbersome machinery.
Being cold outside these days, and seeing the die-hard smokers huddled outside for a quick drag, I don't miss smoking.
I don't miss those big green "Reader's Guide to Periodicals" indexes, where you had to write down the magazine issue you wanted, and then cross your fingers that the library subscribed to that magazine, and still had that particular date. Love the instant gratification of ProQuest...
Or, is that just me? :)
I love the topics that you think of. As you can tell by my devotion to responding to each and every one of them.I don't really miss pay-tv. I miss Propety Ladder and Relocation, Relocation but I can survive without them. So far, anyway, it's been six months and seven days... just kidding *cough*
I know it's the opposite of the question, but man, I miss coffee, I'd kill for one right now.
I don't miss being pregnant, I won't ever do THAT one again.
Or acid.
I don't miss meat. But that wasn't difficult, because the reason I stopped was due to not liking it!
Or acid.I do miss acid! Acid was crazy fun. But the two days afterwards, whoo-ha, I don't miss those at all. I'll never do acid again. So I guess I don't miss it that much.
I miss being 19 and not caring what effects acid was having on my brain. Same with everything else I guess. How about, I miss being naive. Being naive made everything fun.
Oh good one. I don't miss acid either. Or any drugs I don't do anymore. Cuz, you know, that's why I stopped doing them! (except cigarettes. I miss them at least daily)I don't miss living in a land-locked state.
I don't miss drugs. The illicit kind, I mean. I don't miss all the driving I had do in everyday life in Texas.
i do miss missing stuff. i have sort of forgotten how cool some of the stuff i used to do was and now i don't really miss it. oh bother

Careful, Kevin...
Careful, Kevin...
should have been Raheem as in Radio Raheem. it was supposed to have been a Do The Right Thing reference but i blew it
Zen wrote: "Don't miss, big or small, anyone's penis. (Even if it was magically stolen.)"In that vein (oh my god, did I just say "vein" in a penis thread?), I don't miss having sex with women other than my wife.
Phil wrote: "In that vein (oh my god, did I just say "vein" in a penis thread?), I don't miss having sex with women other than my wife"Ack! Vein! Ack! Ack! Ack~!
I was very disturbed for a second. Whoo!
... does the vein-y go along with "muscular"?
Brings to mind the flasher we had as a patient. I came in to draw his blood, and he pulled it out. I told him "that looks like a good vein, hold still."He never flashed me again!
I missed my penis when I thought it was lost. But since I found it in the glove compartment, I have the same confidence I had before that it will be there when I need it most, as long as I remember where the keys to the car are.
I don't miss clubbing 2 to 3 times a week.I don't miss going to Blockbuster.
I don't miss commuting 2 hours to work.
I don't miss going to any video store. Horrible! They never had what I wanted and so many things were misfiled.
I'm an old woman, and I miss being seen. But I don't miss the crap that comes with being an attractive woman. It's like being rich: You don't know if someone really likes you.
I don't miss being young. I don't miss the self-doubt and uncertainty which really is narcissistic. I don't miss most of the people I used to talk to but don't anymore, or I'd go find them!

Me, either. Not one damn bit.
Me, either. Not one damn bit.
i miss being younger. not young. my lifestyle revolves around physical activity and i do not like declining skills, failing abilities and increasing soreness and pain
I don't miss going to Blockbuster. I tried to explain Blockbuster to my sons a couple days ago, because there's still one open near us, and they had been there when they were little, but even explaining the concept reminded me of how awful it was.
Larry y Los Muertos wrote: "Does anyone actually put gloves in there?"My dad always called it the "gin box." Perhaps in his family it was more likely to contain gin than gloves.
I love gin. If I had only one spirit to drink for the rest of time it would be a close one between bourbon and gin but gin would win.
I lerve gin & tonic with a twist of lime. There is nothing more refreshing on a hot afternoon.

I'm sure we can adjust to things we have now were they to disappear. For example, I'd probably go through cable mourning if, for whatever reason, we couldn't get cable, but I'd probably adjust. I guess I'd miss cable sometimes.
But...what did you have once, that you don't miss?
I don't miss living in the city much. Too many advantages to living in a small town.
You?
