Evening ladies. Cannot wait for Halloween to be over. I watched Alien with Tom at his house, that's about the most Halloweenist thing I've done.

I haven't seen it in years either Heather. My boyfriend never seen it before but because he played the recent game he wanted to see what the movies were like so he bought the DVD boxset :p.
I've never seen Alien. Well, snippets of it occasionally but not the whole movie. I don't do horror flicks.

Heather L wrote: "Lizzie, I think you have me confused with someone else as I've never seen "Alien" and don't intend to -- not my kind of movie."I think she meant me. That's alright. If I have to be confused with someone, I don't mind it being you, Heather. ☺
I was lying in bed thinking last night, which is when my brain starts to get productive, about what makes a man sexy. I came up with 2 kinds of sex symbols. One is the kind that an older Sean Connery would play. You know - handsome, confident, gutsy, no nonsense, funny, can probably save the world with a sling-shot. The other is the damaged hero/bad boy, such as Daniel Craig's "James Bond," or Hugh Jackman's "Wolverine."Hey, I just came up with a third type: the guy who's sexy because he's so smart and confident, like James Spader as "Red" or Benedict Cumberbatch in "Sherlock." In my opinion, neither of them has the typical leading man looks, but they've sure got something.
Any comments on which you prefer, or any other suggestions about what makes a man sexy?
Good question, Cathy. There are certainly different kinds of sexy. I do like smart sexy...and gutsy sexy...tongue-in-cheek sexy is good for me, too, which is really someone with a good witty dialogue.
I come across a lot of guys who say they're into smart sexy. Which is sooooo not me. I never class myself as sexy though. I'm just glad my boyfriend loves me as me lol.
This answer is probably way off the original question, but my idea of sexy is very tall with long black hair, very wide shoulders with a chiseled body. Loving, loyal honest , faithful, non narcissistic, non conceited, alpha without being over bearing. Don't want much do I lol.
Sounds good to me, Catherine. I prefer dark-haired guys to blonds. I don't know if you've ever seen the original "Starsky and Hutch," but I always preferred Paul Michael Glaser to David Soul. My husband is dark, too.
My boyfriend is dark haired. I'm into long haired blonde vikings myself. But in general I ain't a fussy gal :p.

I adored Paul Michael Glaser. I was a kid but I haven't forgotten him.

My boyfriend had really long jet black hair with a mustache when I first met him, he's cut it short and shaved the mustache off t, now his hair is mid-length. Hes not a viking though, he's Australian. I'm a sucker for a guy with an accent :p
So sad to hear Tom Magliozzi, one half of the wisecracking Car Talk duo known as "Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers," has died after complications from Alzheimer's Disease. He was 77.http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2...
He and his brother have given me many a laugh, while teaching me something. I will miss him.
Oh...sad, Kirsten. My husband loved that show and, therefore, I listen to it ever Sunday for years and year. My heart goes out to his family.

Where would be the best place to put it. It is my daughters and I think she's great.
Ah! Your daughter. That is a dilemma, Catherine. You must be very proud. My brother-in-law is a published in that genre, too. Still, in fairness, you should post it under the Authors' Promo/Blogs/Booksites folder. Do you know how to start a new topic?
Hello everyone,Is being a couple of rough weeks for me. I haven't had the got the chance to log into GR. I was up until 2am doing a PowerPoint presentation about Market Structures, this is my last week of Microeconomics, and I can't wait to finishes (is kicking my butt). But the next week I start with Finance, so I really don't know what's better... :(

So... I'm not a cat person - AT ALL!! But a stray cat turned up and had kittens, and now I'm struggling to give them up!
The grey one on the left I desperately want to keep. The one at the back already has a home. And if I can't find a home for the other one, I'll keep her, too (she's So Sweet). But seriously - I'm not a cat person. There's just something about these kittens that makes me one!

Ugh - that sounds like fun! :(
I was away for a month and a half, and so I definitely missed a lot of online stuff...
You sound much smarter than me - even the names of what you're doing frightens me!
