Nancy They look so cute Jo! Darn! :^(

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) Thanks gals! I still can't believe it either. To date myself, total bummer, lol!

Nancy Anybody manage to take a picture of the ones they received? I haven't yet, but Tanja I'm not enough of a computer geek to understand your directions! LOL

Adrienne (adriennemarietheresa) | 175 comments THANK YOU ladies for the bookmarks! I'm loving each and every one. I'm so thrilled.

AngieA Allen (angelwings55) wow, that is too bad, they were so darling!

Nancy Marsha - I'm still having so much fun with my bookmarks. My cousin who is a librarian came to visit from Colorado last night and I had to show them off. She was impressed and we joked about picking the appropriate bookmarks to the subject! All our kids are college age and the miniature Griffindore book-scarf was an especially big hit, even at their 'advanced' ages! LOL And my cousin is a knitter, so I think she was inspired.

AngieA Allen (angelwings55) I regifted the Griffindore bookmark to my daughter for mother's day along with a copy of The Book Thief. It seemed an appropriate accessory for the girl who was writing her Masters' Thesis on "The Culture of Food in Harry Potter" :)

Nancy Angie - what a great idea! Bet she loved it. She might need a few more book scarves in the other colors! My cousins's son was asking her to make him a Slytherin one.

message 215: by AngieA (new)

AngieA Allen (angelwings55) "Not Slytherin, not Slytherin, not..." Haha!

Marsha (earthmarsha) | 1586 comments You can find any number of patterns for the bookscarf on the interwebs. If I had to do it again, I think I'd do it with embroidery floss rather than yarn, just so it would be thinner. That might be hard to work with, though.

Nancy, I'm still having fun with mine as well, and I do mull them over when starting a new book and pick one I think will suit it!

Angie, that thesis sounds fascinating!

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) Marsha, my Griffindore scarf is with my Harry Potter Novels and is now my official bookmark for them! I love it! My others are in a little wire basket I keep all of our bookmarks in and they sit on top so I pick a CoL one first. They always make me smile! Things have been hectic but I'm going to start on new ones soon!

message 218: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Jo you are so ahead of the game! I may have to start some more. My daughter wanted me to make them for all her friends.

Bloomin’Chick (Jo) aka The Eclectic Spoonie (bloominchick) Well, since mine were ruined, I'd like to send @ least 1 to everyone I got a bookmark from as I eventually get them done.

message 220: by Rosemary (new)

Rosemary | 479 comments sounds cool, hope you got one of mine, Jo!
