Have you heard that they want to reduce the days/hours of post office operations? The postal system is losing money, so they're thinking about cutting hours to save money. That means even longer lines...

I thought that they were thinking about stopping Saturday delivery, but that the post offices would still be open? I think it's a good idea, either way. I like the post office system in general (yay for snail mail) and it seems like a reasonable way to cut costs.

We do this a couple times a year usually so it wont be the last chance if you aren't able to be in this one :)

I just got my bookmarks and I'm going to open them with you. Here goes...

1. fabric bookmark, pinking sheer edges, ribbon on top, green paisley(my favorite!) and black and pink. LOVE IT!

2. Mrs. Darcy! Thank you for your fancy edges and secret heart on the back!

3. "A chapter a day keeps the doctor away" this better work, I've been seeing way too many doctors lately! Thanks!!

4. "A book lover never goes to bed alone... Love it! Cicero was right, "A room without books is like a body without a soul." pretty flowers, too!

5. paint chip sample with butterflies, my most favorite colors of blue, YAY!

6. My own CeeCee Honeycut quote bookmark. Perfect, Cindy, so thoughtful! That is a great quote: "Wisdom comes from experience - from known' each day is a gift and accepting it with gladness. You read a whole lot of books, and readin' sure has made you smart, but ain't no book int he world gonna make you wise." So true!

7.Angie I love that quote from Longfellow. "the love of learning, the sequestered nooks, and all the sweet serenity of books. perfect!

8. I've never used a magnetic bookmark before and now I have a lovely dragonfly magnetic bookmark with a word I need ~ Hope~ printed on the front. So pretty!

9. A cool quote from Sarah Addison Allen on this scrapbook art inspired bookmark: "Books can be possessive, can't they? You're walking around in a bookstore and a certain one will jump out at you, like it had moved there on its own, just to get your attention. Sometimes what's inside will change your life, but sometimes you don't even have to read it. Sometimes it's a comfort just to have a book around." So true!!

10. I've been looking for the perfect bookmark to hold my place in my journal, this lovely fuchsia grosgrain ribbon matches perfectly, yay!

11. And for the last one, some very wise words from Lemony Snicket: "Reading is one form of escape. Running for your life is another." Love the ladybugs!
