Yeah. I agree. The book moved REALLY slowly, and some things didn't feel resolved all the way through. I figured that it was just her writing style because I heard her wolf series was very slow moving as well.

Sarah | 766 comments Give Ballad a try. It didn't feel slow at all to me.

Well, let's just say this is the sixth time I've read this since I bought it three years ago! They're not for everyone, but I love almost all of Kenyon's books.

Oh duh, I thought you were reading it for the first time. I love her series and I always try to get more people to try her!

Same here! I've converted quite a few of my female relatives into Kenyon minions :) Can't wait for all of her new series to start this year!

message 56: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments @Amanda, yeah I've been feeling weird not having anything new to read from her. But she's been stockpiling and every book is going to hit the shelves at the same time.

I thought that too, but I just checked her site and she's changed a bunch of the release dates.
Daemon's Angel isn't being re-released until 2012 now! :(

Sarah | 766 comments Finished Lament today. I liked it, but wasn't blown away by it. My suspicion that the sequel was better has been confirmed.

message 66: by Jess (new)

Jess | 3721 comments No Susie.. that counts. It's a green cover, so it fits :)

message 67: by Courtney (new)

Courtney (alannarey) | 35 comments Finished Lady of Conquest by Teresa Medeiros and it really was....eh. It dragged on. It had a good story but more of a slow book. It was a disapointment compaired to her other books.

Kelley Anne | 1619 comments So I finished my book Bloody Irish by Bob Curran. It was kinda interesting. But I've always been facinated with Celtic lore and legends, so that intrigued me. If you aren't into that kind of thing though, probably wouldn't keep your attention!

This is good to know. I have it waiting for me to pick up at the library.

message 72: by Lory (new)

Lory (moty) | 11 comments Hopefully I'm not too late for the challenge. I read Magic Study (Study, #2) by Maria V. Snyder by Maria V. Snyderand I give a book a ★★★☆☆.

I like this one a little more than the first one. I will love to see her a little less stuburn, however she always ended being acertive in her descition. I love the fact the she have her alone time without Valek being on the spot, wich for me, giver a little room to prove herself stronger that she tought she was. I hate the fact the she didn't have the time to build a relation with her new found parents and even annoys me her brother.

message 73: by Kelley Anne (new)

Kelley Anne | 1619 comments Nope! Not too late! The challenge goes through the end of the month, so congrats! I agree with your thoughts on Magic Study. I've really enjoyed that trilogy. Now I just need to find the time to read the spin off series!

message 74: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments I ended up with quite a few that I read that could count for this one.

Ladies' Night at Finbar's Hotel by Dermot Bolger which was a lot better than I expected. If you are looking for some fun cute chick lit stories pick this one up.

Bloody Irish by Bob Curran just couldn't get into this one and gave it up, too dry for me.

Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning which was a re-read for me, I listened to the audio this time around which made it all the more interesting.

and finally, my favorite out of these

Naked Dragon (Works Like Magick, #1) by Annette Blair which was a fun campy story that I can recommend enough for when you are in the mood for something like that.

My library told me that they couldn't get [image error] so I was unable to check this one out see if it was any good.

message 79: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4740 comments OK, I finally got around to reading What to do with a Naked Leprechaun by Tianna Xander What to do with a Naked Leprechaun. I'd give it a solid ★★1/2.

Basically, a reporter hiding in the mountains for 3 yrs from a nasty gangster, a naked amnesiac leprechaun tries to win her affections, he gets shot and the king & queen of the leprechauns save the day.

message 80: by Kelley Anne (new)

Kelley Anne | 1619 comments lol, well that sounds interesting! Especially the "naked amnesiac leprachaun".

Congrats on finishing the challenge!
