Personal goal for the rest of February through the end of March:

I am going to get my TBR list down to an acceptable number, and finish off the series I have

before I go buying anymore.

Thank you, I'm down to 10 books left to read.. And I'm on vacation next week so will probably have this just about done by the time my vacation over..

I think that's what I'm going to start saving for. I really want one..

I just hope that maybe one day they will do with the kindle like the do with DVD's and if you buy the book you get the free E-book to go with it that way I can still have the hard copy to go with my soft copy.

That's a cool idea but I don't see it happening any time soon. :( Publishers and authors will make more money if they have people buying 2 copies of things. I don't mind having most if mine on Kindle and actually prefer it. I do have some books in paperback or hardcover from pre-Kindle days or as gifts/sets. I like to have some in paper so I can read in the bathtub or at the beach or someplace I wouldn't want to bring my Kindle :) I always check Kindle fist though and USUALLY if it's on Kindle I will buy it for Kindle. It' great for the heavy books or anthologies and books with more than one book in them (such as Nightworld) I hate having to find a comfortable position laying in bed reading a book that is 600+ pages. :-P

I'm so ready to buy books, I walked into a Half Price Books today and walked out with nothing.. Soo that felt both good and horrible at the same time..

The House of Night series is good. So many of the series I like to read are at a standstill waiting for the next book. I'm getting impatient! ;) I just started reading Moon Called so I could get addicted to another series. :)

Rebecca, do you own all of those books already? That's awesome if you do. :) You don't have to wait to buy any to keep reading. I am trying to limit my book buying too. I just bought The Lord of the Rings Trilogy on Kindle because it was about 12 dollars for 3 books so I think thats pretty good and worth it to have them on my Kindle. Believe it or not I still haven't read them. I remember reading The Hobbit a long time ago but I don't remember if I ever finished it LOL.

I have most of them alread on my shelf except for the last couple of anita, becasue they haven't come out in paperback just yet, and the ones that are not released until later this year. But yes they are all on my shelf.

I have heard of Kindle but there is something about having a book in my hand that leads me away from getting one. I love my book collection so far and seeing them all on my shelf gives me a sense of achievment.

You will Love the LOR if you haven't read it yet. I read it back when I was in high school and it still is and will always be my alltime fav fantasy story.I read the hobbit first though, it kinda worked out well! :) good luck with it!

I just finished Desired Untamed last night and I loved it! I found it similar to the BDB and the Midnight Breed series. I have to say I was not sure going into this book,but I am happy that I put it on my list. I have started the 2nd one so I hope the goodness contuines.

Book Two of The Demonica series is really really good, just started the third book in the series last night.

And you are correct that they all remind me of each other but still just a little different that it makes you want to continue..

Awesomevegan - I bought my Kindle in September and have only bought Kindle books since then. When I read in the bath or am worried about my Kindle getting wet/dirty, I put it in a ziplock bag. Works great! The only real books that I own are all pre-Kindle. And I own the Twilight books and have them on my Kindle too. So far, all but one book that I have wanted has been available on the Kindle. If it's not available, I get it at the library. The bad thing about the Kindle is that I spend a LOT of money on my reading habit now.

Ohh thats something I will put on my TBR after I finish my list. I Love BDB would have to be up there with my faves. Lords of the underworld have similarities, but not the depth that the BDB have.

I like that Ziplock idea. :) I am just nervous LOL. I mostly buy Kindle books now. Sometimes I get books as gifts or find them at thrift stores. I love my Kindle so much. It is my favorite gadget. I usually use it daily unless I am reading something I don't own on Kindle. I want to read all my books I have in paper so I will be able to read mostly on my Kindle. I still like paper books more for certain things (like books with lots of pictures and recipe books. I feel they are easier to navigate in paper. The good thing about spending a lot of money for books on Kindle is that the books are usually cheaper and you can always ask for gift cards for gifts to pay for them! :)

Ok so I have finished Shift! I was excited about this book I loved the series, I did really enjoy the book but I have a few problems with it. I will not say incase you are in the middle of reading it or are planning to read soon.
Anyway I am starting Witchcraft by Caitlin Kittredge I know it is not on my list but it is on my to read lidt. I hope I can just add books to my list, because there are books on there that are no in stock at the book store and I have to order them and I can not wait and read nothing. I hope this is ok.

I'm having such a hard time, making up my mind.. I am seriously considering buying the kindle but then I feel like a Traitor to bibliophiles everywhere to purchase something that is electronic to read books..

But I really really want one.

I am the same. There is something about owning the actual book. but I also like that the kindle are seemingly alot cheaper then getting a paperback. I might ask for one for my birthday and see how it goes. I would hate to not use it though...

thats funny because my husband will get home from work and there is a package on the door step every week and he gets annoyed cuz he knows its another book that WONT fit on our book shelf. haha

Ok, ladies, here's my two cents: I own a Kindle 2 and taking away my Kindle is equivalent to cutting off a limb. I LOVE IT! I like that I can lay down in bed and read without fumbling with a paperback. I like that anytime I want to buy a book, I jut turn the wireless on and buy one. I like being able to read it while I'm walking on the treadmill. AND, I don't miss finding a place to put my books or lending a great book to someone and never getting it back (I love to re-read my favorites).
