For book 1, I am reading John Adams, which by itself is long enough for both books (over 700 pages). For the second book, I plan to read Hush.

Hi, I'm sorry that book won't work. Usually on the main page genre list it will say: History>American History. On this particular book, History isn't listed.
Bea wrote: "For book 1, I am reading John Adams, which by itself is long enough for both books (over 700 pages). For the second book, I plan to read Hush."Bea, Both of those work. I will add them to the approved list.

Just checking these would work together:Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee: The Illustrated Edition: An Indian History of the American West and Rape
Pia wrote: "Can the book for Option 1 be Fiction?"Yes, fiction is fine as long as the genre is listed on main page. There a few fiction books listed in the approved list at the beginning of this thread.
Lulu wrote: "Just checking these would work together:Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee: The Illustrated Edition: An Indian History of the American West and Rape"
That will work Lulu. I even checked with one of the mods since this book states that it contains illustrations. Your choice for opt. 2 also works.

I just wanted to say thank you for writing this task. And thanks to whoever got Lila approved on this thread. I came here for ideas because I wasn't coming up with anything I was too excited about, and I saw Lila. I decided to get it from OverDrive and try it - and I loved it. It was a 5 star read for me. I finished a couple of days ago and I'm still thinking about it! I probably never would have stumbled across it if not for this task. :)
Teri-k wrote: "I just wanted to say thank you for writing this task. And thanks to whoever got Lila approved on this thread. I think it is one of 30 point tasks.

I haven't seen anything about punctuation regarding book 2. Does the exclamation point disqualify Thud!?
