Just finished reading Devoured and am now reading The Secret Garden for an ISU at school, I've always wanted to read this book because I loved the movie.

No I haven't read any of her books, but I watched the movie for the first time when I was really little and loved it and still do. I don't even know really what it is that I love so much.
Well, you must read A Little Princess. I was (and still am) a weird kid. Frances Hodsgon Burnett to Jane Austen...
I'm currently reading In the Forests of the Night by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes ... it kind of makes me impatient.
it's about a man/boy, jack plumb, that has some type of deformity -it's never really disclosed, but he resembles a pig. or at least his alcoholic abusive mother thinks so. he befriends a young girl, holly lock, and introduces her to his world of pig rearing. very intriguing, but i'm only 79 pages in. i have a feeling it leads to some tragic end.
I just finished Roses by Leila Meacham - hints of Gone with the Wind style - Good read. Went to the library today and picked up several to read - Starting with Black Friday - The newest from Alex Kava
I am reading Unless - it's been slow going. I'm not sure if it's that I'm not reading as much or not that into it. I like the prose, and the story seems interesting, but...just not going that quickly!
now reading Scar Tissue. read almost one hundred pages last night. not particularly a chili peppers die hard fan, but intrigued by the story of success and the hard drugs.
Jo wrote: "I'm reading On Writing"read an excerpt of this from a writing class. interesting. i'd love to know what you think of the work as a whole.
I am reading Tempted right now...book 6 for the house of night series. It is ok. The first books were better but I will keep reading them because I still want to know what happens ultimately.
I started one of Nora Roberts trilogy's last night called "Sign of Seven Trilogy". the books are as follows: Blood Brothers, The Hollow , The Pagan StoneSo far the book is interesting - this is my first time reading any books by Nora Roberts and so far I like her writing style.
I kind of liked The Diary of Anne Frank. I am reading Enna Burning of the Bayern series by Shannon Hale.
i'm now beginning
. i've wanted to read this for a while. larson is a great writer and makes non-fiction an easy read.

I really enjoyed this book. It was something completely different from anything I have read recently.

The Book ThiefThe Count of Monte Cristo
a biography on Steinbeck that I don't remember the name of
and some T.S Eliot poetry for school.
Right now, I'm reading "A Great and Terrible Beauty" for school, as well as "Night" by Elie Wiesel, for school as well. Good books, even if "Night" is depressing. It's incredibly powerful and well-written, just very depressing.

Good Book, I liked the De Vinci Code too. His new book The Symbol was ok, the other two were better. Enjoy and Happy Reading

I didn't like A Great and Terrible Beauty. The main character (don't remember her name) never learned from her mistakes. She never grew as a person.

I like Angels and Demons better than The Da Vinci Code but I enjoyed both of them.
Today I started Night After Night by Kathryn SmithThis is the 5th book in the Brotherhood of Blood Series and I have enjoyed it so far.

I thought she did, but I guess it's all based on opinions, not everyone is going to like it and not everyone isn't. But you're definietly not the only person that didn't like the book.

It wasn't my favorite...

Wow I just finished Night after Night by Kathryn Smith and it was excelent. I give it 5 stars.I'm going to start Jarka Ruus (High Druid of Shannara #1) By Terry Brooks. There are 3 books focused on the Druids In "The Sword of Shannara" Series.
1. Jarka Ruus
2. Tanequil
3. Straken
The Sword of Shannara Series is a great fantasy read. So far I have read in this series:

The Heritage of Shannara
1. The Scions of Shannara

3. The Elf Queen of Shannara
4. The Talismans of Shannara
The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara

After I finish "High Druid of Shannara" then all that will be left for me to read in this series is the following:
Genesis of Shannara

2. The Elves of Cintra
3. The Gypsy Morph
I am currently reading Dear John now and will be starting Hunger Games as well. And I just a call from the library that the books I reserved are in so I think that's another 2 books The Pretties and Go Ask Alice.

I liked them all, but ya I found that they did get better as they went on.
Heather wrote: "Did you like it at all? "Not really. I read the second one as well (Rebel Angels, I think) and felt the same way. I know people who loved the books, but I'm not one of them.
Right now, I'm reading Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold for school. It's good.
(Of course, I'm also reading around three non-school books)
